    Grey hairs...?

Hi all, kinda shallow I know but I was in the kitchen today and dh and I were talking, then he stopped and lookes at my hair and informed me I have a few grey hairs!! he even pulled out 1 or 2 and showed me!! I have since been standing seld consciously in the mirror and have found a few more I naturally have mousy brown hair but it's currently a dark brown/maroon (though in dire need of a re-dye and cut!) I'm only 22, soon to be 23!!

Have any of you ladies started getting greys young?? Please tell me it won't all go grey soon!

First grey hair at 16. Still have a head of brown hair, the very rare grey blends in well.

I'm in my 30s now and no more grey.

    You're not alone

I've been teasing my DH about his temples going grey for a few years now. It has been a very slow process and it's still only really noticeable to me because I get close enough to see and I like to pick on him for it lol. So that started maybe when he was 26-27 I think, it was just after we got married, and his best mate who got married two months before us had noticed some too. So they were blaming the wives lol.

Anyway, in January this year I went to the hairdresser and got a cut with no colour for the first time in years. The time before I'd gotten colour to match my natural colour so the growth wouldn't be natural. And now, about 3 weeks ago, DH plucked a grey from the top of my head!! I can't see any more myself so I'm not bothered by it, but I might start getting home dye kits in my natural colour if they get too bad. I'm 29 and I think that's about when my Mum got her first too.

I also have a friend one year older than me who is basically completely grey. I think it's a lot more common than people would think, but almost everyone colours their hair (I only know a few that don't) so it's not noticeable.

I started getting them when dd2 was born so almost 5 years ago I would have been 32. They are noticeably worse now but talking to friends I am not the only one they just hadn't mentioned it!

I was 24.5 when I noticed my first one. At 31 I now have quite a few. They are noticeable and I don't mind. One of my children called them my sparkly hair

By the time you get to our age there is nothing you can do but embrace them.

I got my first grey hairs nearly over night after DD2 became very ill. Stress brought them on

I have tips so everything blends in and I also hate the regrowth look a full colour gives. The next time I get tips I will get a half head so more grey will show through.
