    Additional features

So it seems my children are born with a few extra features thrown in.

    DS has:
    - Altitude sensor. When parent goes from standing to sitting, baby will go from calm and almost asleep to cranky pants
    - Housework motivation sensor. Whenever Mum feels that the house must be tidied and she actually has the will and energy to do it, baby will demand cluster feeding
    - Not Mum's Bed/Arms sensor. Baby will seem close to snoring in parents bed or arms, but put anywhere else will be wide awake in seconds

    DD has:
    - Inappropriate Toilet Time sensor. If Mum is cooking a complex meal that can't be left, dealing with a poosplosion or upset feeding baby, toddler will need the toilet RIGHT NOW MUMMY!
    - Baby Has Just Gone To Sleep After Fussing For Far Too Long sensor. When the baby is finally asleep, and actually stayed asleep when put in a bed, this is obviously the best time to play the noises game the toddler knows or demand food very very loudly

What additional extras have your kids got?

    Re: Additional features

All three of mine came standard with the Phone Sensor. I think lots of kids have this one. Kids will be playing happily, quietly, watching tv, eating nicely... Soon as the phone rings, or I start to dial, someone does something resulting in screaming and tantrums and crying.

    Re: Additional features

DD1 got the growth of a thousand children feature lol. There must be lots of tiny kids out there that missed out.
DS and DD2 got the ultra-magnetic dirt feature. I see messy kids out and about, but mine, no matter how clean they might have been thirty seconds ago, can be guaranteed to be filthy...it's embarrassing sometimes.
The gir;s also got the super human ability to eat - like teenage boys I swear....

    Yes to the phone sensor!

Mine have a shower sensor too: as soon as I step in someone needs a bum wiped or smashes something.

Both have come with must-eat-constantly features too!

Here we have hollow legs syndrome, he eats as much as me now, how will I afford to keep him fed as a teenager.

Also dinner cuddles feature, must have cuddles while mummy is cooking or tantrums ensue

Mine has built in mouth spa, bubbles turn on towards the end of a meal resulting in mum dad or anyone or anything with a 1 metre radius being sprayed with food filled bubbles.

    Re: Additional features

Mine come with the long sleep/short sleep alternator. Long sleeps when we have plans and need to be somewhere, short sleeps when we are home all day.

DD (and DS as a little baby) also come with the MumsHeadTouchedHerPillowSensor and will wake as soon as I lie in bed, no matter if I'm having an early or late night. I swear a freaking alarm goes off.....

    Re: Additional features

My DD has the disrupt favourite music feature- guarantee that she can be sitting next to me quietly but as soon as a song comes on that I really like & want to listen too that is when she decides she wants to tell me all the important stuff from her day. Also works when listening to important news broadcasts.

DS 2 has the whine plugin. Automatically activated whenever something important for mum happens. Or right when we need to go somewhere.

Ah, my brothers both came with similar features - the Mum'sButtTouchedTheCouch and Mum'sHandTouchedHerFork Sensors.

DD seems to have been installed with Mum'sNotWatching - as soon as my eyes are off her she's up to something that soon requires help. She's also recently acquired the LetsRipThePaperOffAllTheCrayons add-on, which seems to be uninstallable...

    Re: Additional features

DD2 comes preprogrammed with MumCantMoveOutOfMySight sensors.

This esp includes when she is asleep and I cannot move. Just like last night i had the runs and had to run to the toilet. As soon as i got out of bed (even though dd2 is in deep sleep) her alarm goes off.

Sorry dd2 but mummy had to go otherwise the bed would have been messy!!!
