It's not fair (but unfortunately nothing you can do with the credit stuff, only the best you can.... Or win lotto) It suxhugs
Back in 2007 I had a mobile phone connected in my name. In 2008 I added one for ex. We split up & his obsessiveness ran the bill up by thousands. $4000 in a month in one instance, $900 on the house phone from stupid, scared me, calling him back :/ I disconnected the mobile after that.
Anyway, I tried what I could, but no one cared that I hadn't made the calls, it was my responsibility (I should've known better). I paid $20 a week off it for a couple of years.
I just applied for credit. $10 a week for a bloody air conditioner. Its 38 degrees here at 10am. Top of 42 (though it said 40 yesterday & we got to 44). But I got turned down because I have a $3900 default on my account.
Meanwhile ex is over there in NSW, with air conditioning, paying $50 a week rent, having everything handed to him, because they have a baby, her family has money & he's too useless to provide for them, making up to $2000 a week some weeks. She's also working & making up to $1500 a week, yet I can't get the $100 a week I'm owed in CSA. Nor can I get credit for anything, all because of him :/
Little bit over it todayPretty sure I was suffering heat stroke late yesterday, even though I was drinking water all day & my house didn't hit near the temp outside. DS has a head ache already today. I'm doing the best I can, but this is not fair! I'm so over him running my damn life with out even needing to do anything!!!

I know there's nothing I can do. I'm just so over his life being so damn easy, while we never seem to win.
Hi Clover getting credit does sick especially when something isn't your fault
I'm not sure of your situation but have you considered renting an Air con? I know Radio Rentals here in Vic have them and they don't do credit checks. Hope this helps![]()
There is something you can do - you can apply to have the credit default removed altogether from your credit report. I know how to do it through the WA court, but not sure if that will help you if the judgement wasn't made in WA.
Anyway, you download a form from the magistrate's court website, fill it in and have it signed by the people you defaulted against and lodge it. It is free, from memory. If it is all paid off, then the company shouldn't have any issues signing to form for you, might just take a while if they are a big company.
Whether you do that or not, apply through Direct Appliance Rentals - the specialise in CL and pension customers, it is a rent to buy thing over 1 or 2 years, and all comes automatically out of by Centrepay.
This is the form for the WA magistrates court. CIV_Form_49.jpg
Pretty In Pink - Radio Rentals etc don't service our area in WA. I know people who've rented through other people's address's in Perth to be able to use them. Others who moved here had to return their items before they left the city.
I will look into that LS. I paid it $20 a week til I left ex, I think, because I needed the money. Not sure if I still owe or not though. Need to ring through again tomorrow to find out.
Will look into the rental place as well & see if they service down here. Thanks.
