    Repaying/reapplying for ftb advances

Hi, I have searched and read a few posts on this but I'd just like to check and see if anyone can help me with my particular circumstance because i can't afford to pay it off if i cant reapply. I have received ftb advances (broken up into 3 advance payments) and all together have $200 remaining to pay off. I'd like to know if I can repay this amount and reapply for more? (if that makes sense!) I'm really stuck financially at the moment with a heap of bills and 2 children just before Xmas! Any replies or advice would be great thank you in advance!

yes, you can do it - i have done it myself. the trouble with being this close to christmas is that you would have to take in the exact balance to your local office and then wait for it to be processed on to your file, apply and then wait two days for it to hit your account. given christmas is wednesday, there is no physical way it can be in your account on time for you to use it by christmas eve

if you have an ftb payment due in the near future, you can call up and arrange to have it deducted from that, and then apply the day after it's processed (so the day before payment hits your account) and have it processed from there and in your account two days later

neither option will help you with christmas though

Thanks as bad as it sounds I think I can manage by paying my rent slightly later (the real estate will be closed over Xmas so fingers crossed it doesn't go down too badly) I rechecked my online services though and it turns out the amount to be repaid is actually $450. So I honestly don't know if it'll be worth it but will go in and see on Monday. Fingers crossed! Hopefully things will get easier once I go back to work at the start of next year.

if you need a smaller amount you could pay off one of the advances instead of all three.
i have paid back mine early in the past through the FTB payments - it's easier to do it that way for everyone involved

I paid one of mine out early & reapplied straight away as well, thanks to BG's words of wisdom.

But when I called up, the person I spoke to knew nothing & said even though it was paid out, he didn't think I could reapply til the date stated on my file. He had no clue, so be prepared for that if you decide to go ahead
