    Star or angel?

Do you have a star, an angel, or something else on top of your christmas tree? Why?

We have an angel... we have it to acknowledge Spirit and the blessings of Spirit, rather than the star which is really a judeo-christian reference. Also, it's a family tradition that either DH or I put the angel on top, not the kids.

    Re: Star or angel?

We have a star, because it's pretty Growing up we had Santa on top of the tree lol.

I also see the angel as a bit more religious/Christian and we're neither of those, so it feels a bit funny to have one.

We have a star, I have no idea how we ended up with a star but that's what we have. It could be that I've never found an angel tree topper that fits our family.

    Re: Star or angel?

we have always had a star (cause that's what i had growing up), but this year, it has taken on a more religious meaning since my dd started a christian school this year and has told me what she feels it represents.

We have nothing yet,nor last year (first year we put tree up and really had a go at celebrating it in our house) only because I haven't found anything that is perfect yet. I am picky when it comes to that sort of thing.

    Re: Star or angel?

Neither. This year we have our Disneyland Mickey Mouse "D" at the top of the tree. We seem to pick something different each year. Last year we had a star that DS2 made. The year before we had an angel that DS1 made.

Next year will be interesting because it will be the first Christmas that we have our Brady Bunch in the house together.

We've got a star. No meaning behind ours either, just prefer it.

Star because for us it represents the star that revealed the birth of Jesus.
