    One nap to no nap

What age did your little one/s stop napping during the day?

My older two stopped having naps at around 2. My youngest was still having one until she was 3.5.

DD is 2.5 and has a one hour nap at daycare (Monday and Tuesday). If she's having a crappy day and needs extra sleep I'll get her to have a one hour nap at home on other days. We have a one hour maximum limit because if it's any longer she won't go to bed at night. She started having days with no naps and being ok with it around 4-6 months ago.

18 months. If he has one now it affects his night sleep (he's 2.5yo now)

DD1 was before 2. She'd be in bed by 5pm though for the next year or so.

DD2 is almost 2 and only naps a couple of times a week. Again in bed by 5pm on days without, 7:30 with. She wakes less at night if she has a nap but is rarely interested in having one so she just has one if she asks.

DD can still have a nap on occasion( as in, maybe 1-2 times a month or so) at 6 1/2! DS1 however stopped napping at about 18 months, but will sleep for a good 12 hours at night. DS2 is 3 in 2 weeks and is still probably napping 4/7 days for 1-2 hours. Although if he sleeps too long it impacts his night time routine. DD and DS2 sleep for between about 8-10 hours if they have a day sleep.

DS1 still has one most days at 3.5, but he's always been a big sleeper.

DS2 has been hit and miss since 12 months.

LOL, it is pretty awesome but they were terrible sleepers as babies, particularly DD1, so I figure this is my reward. I am hanging on to day naps as long as I can!

My DS was almost 3 when he stopped having day sleeps. DD was closer to 2... then she started going to bed really late if she had a day sleep, so we started cutting them out and now she goes to bed at a much more civilized time.

Funny timing of this thread, both of mine actually had a nap today! DD1 (5 in March) hasn't had a day sleep in ages so will be interesting to see what happens tonight. It was a particularly late nap too but all worth it though, had a brilliant day with extended family at the beach!

DD now 2 yrs has just decided to give up hers. And what a disaster it is! She gets to about 2pm and the whinging whining and general not coping begins. She actually really needs it but flat out refuses. Sometimes if we're in the car around that time she'll nap but otherwise theres no longer any reprieve for me till bed time. Gosh I used to be so productive during naps!

DS (2yrs 8mths) has a nap everyday at daycare, and when he's at home he has one 70% of the time; ranging in time from 2hours to 3.5 hours.

I'm hoping he continues for a while, particularly when our new bub arrives in a few weeks!

DS is almost 3.5 years old and still sleeps for 2 hours everyday.

He's always been an awesome sleeper, goes to bed at 7pm and wakes at 7:30am!

My friends two older children still had naps when they went to Kindy! Her third however is almost three and is only napping every couple of days.
