We are viewing a house this week and it is apparently a group viewing. I am familiar with the property and I'm fairly confident that I will want this one. We have looked at a *lot* of houses in this price range over the past few weeks and none are as lovely as this house is from memory.
My question is, I want our application to stand out. Should I do a covering letter. My application on its own sucks - Im a single parent student, we have a pet, and Im employed casually (though I can work as much or as little as I want and am guaranteed at least 2 days per week moving to 3 next year) but its still casual, I also stopped working when I had bubs to spend time bonding and getting back in shape mental health wise after the breakup of my marriage etc, so ended up not working for 2 years although I was asked by my company to return. We also currently rent from a family member
Should we do the cover letter?
What should I include? Avoid?
I really want a decent house and even if its not how I remember it, the fact its in an area where I don't need to worry about personal security is a seller.
For the last 4 properties we have lived at , I have done a cover letter and have always got the property
I make it like an introduction to myself and my family , a little bit about us , our history with rentals , about our pet ,I include our rental and job references again . Talk a little about what we love about the area and the house and say tang we are looking at this property to make our home for quite a while etc
We got to the end stage and the landlord decided to put the property on the market last minute!! Thanks heaps though, will definitely do a cover letter for each application from here on
