    Teaching DS to undress

I feel like this is the dumbest question but I've been thinking about it for a while.
DS is almost 3.5 and can remove his pants, undies and socks... But he struggles with his t-shirt and singlet. Tbh, I have no idea how to teach him to remove his t-shirt. I cross my arms and pull my top up from the bottom, but he can't do that, his arms are too short.

So how do your DS's remove their tops??

I'm struggling to get my DD to do the same. She's fine with her bottom half but not the top half!

Ds (4) hold the sleeve and pulls his arms out first then pulls it over his head

My girls often pull the neck up and over towards the front, if that makes sense (like daddy does!)

DD (5) can now do the cross arms thing. She had to do one arm at a time initially. That's what we are trying to teach DS1.

My almost 7 year old still struggles to coordinate the cross arm technique. She tends to pull one arm out at a time or shrink into the shirt (somehow pulls head into shirt). Failing that, she asks us.

Ok, that makes me feel better!

Self-absorbed MIL decided to visit the other day and snickered at the fact that DS wasn't able to fully dress and undress himself.

Nasty woman. All kids are different. My miss not-quite-2 has it down pat, but DS has no clue. He'll get there.

Ds2 is not quite 4. He gets himself into all sorts of knots trying to do t-shirts! Some days it's right first time, sometimes he falls on the floor and sulks.
And mr almost 6 always puts his undies on backwards unless they have a picture at the front!

Sounds like your DS is perfect.

DS just flat out refuses to even try his shirts...has decided it's too hard. So good to know he's not alone. Might try the sleeve pulling technique as the crossed arms have him totally nonplussed!
