A question for a friend- 2 1/2 year old playing with her poo

As the title suggests, I have a friend who has a 2 1/2 year old DD, and every day she will get into her nappy or take it off and play with her poo. She will wee and poo on clothes (as in if there is a pile of clothes somewhere, she will wee/poop on them. She 'paints' with it on walls, in her bed ect. You get the picture.
My friend has tried putting her nappy on backwards, tight clothes (leotard, swimming costume), undies on top of nappy, onsies inside out...
What can she do to stop her little one doing this, or at least stop her getting out of her nappy and pooing on the floor in the first place! She is at her wits end, and is up to her eyeballs in poo

Has she tried TT? Maybe the DD is trying to tell her she's ready?

And ew. That would be pretty awful.

Has her DD been tested for sensory issues? Can she try activities that involve handling different textures? Playdoh, slime etc

I'd try both of the above. If she's weeing and pooing in the toilet instead of a nappy she can't get to it to play with it. Unless of course there's a pile of clothes and she does it there instead of the toilet. I guess just leave clothes in the laundry and shut the door.

Plus if she's using it to paint with, it sounds like she would appreciate crafts she can get her hands into, like cloud dough (playdough made with corn flour and conditioner), thick finger paints, coloured shaving cream etc.

I'm also wondering if the little girl is bothered by the smell at all? Not that I think there's a problem but surely that would turn her off?
