I'm after some experiences from other parents whose children have had their tonsils and adenoids removed.

My DS2 is booked in to have surgery on Monday 3rd February - he will be 2ys 9mths old - and I'm keen to find out from other parents if you had a child have the same surgery at a similar age and how their recovery was.

We are hopefully it's going to help with constant fevers, sleep apnea and also assist with his speech, but my main concern is how he will recover and how long it will take. He will be in hospital overnight and then I've been told it will take about 2 weeks for him to feel better, my biggest concern is that once we are home I will have his twin brother to manage along with a recovering child and also DD will be at 4yr old kinder so I will have to drag him out to do kinder drop off and pick up.

DH is having 2 days off work - the day of the surgery and the following day to watch DD and DS1 - so I don't even want to think about what the house will look like after 2 days of me not being there.
