    Help for my sis please!

This is a bit long but here is her email to me about it all!!

Is there anything she can do??

August sometime, I put through my original claim for FTB.

25/09/13 - received $193.45 for Single income Family Supplement

02/10/13 - called Centrelink re FTB and school bonus payments, they stated that they hadn't received tax return info from tax dept, which was strange as they had processed payment for SIFS which they said was based on FBT calculations. They said they would send a request to the ATO for the details.

29/10/13 - called them to find out if they had the details, they confirmed they had but there was something strange going on and it was a technical error. Spoke to a Lady who was lovely and said she would try to speak tech dept to find out what was going on. She called me at the end of the day to say she was unable to get through to them.

15/11/13 - called again to find out what was going on, told by some young girl that there was nothing she could do and that I would just have to wait for the payment as they could not give time frames. I told her I understood that, but in previous years it's never taken longer than 3 weeks to process let alone 4 months. She basically didn't care to follow it up and told me I had to wait.

02/01/14 - called again and spoke to a Man who then put me through to a Xyz explained my frustration and the fact that it seemed like my problem had been put into the too hard basket, as it seems ridiculous that a technical error would take 6 months to fix. She said she would follow it up and get back to me, she never did.

It is now February, 7 months later, and still nothing. DD is now 18 and in year 12.

    Please help!

I would have her call customer relations line. Occasionally the link between ATO does drop off, hence the need for them to request tax income again. But when that information came through that should have been enough to reconcile her payments. If she doesn't have any success tell her to contact her local member of parliament with the timeline of what has happened.

Cool thanks chicks. She works shift work but will give her a few ideas, she's pretty over it.
