DD sometimes not weeing overnight? Anyone else?

So for the last 2 nights 1yo DD hasn't wee'd overnight. She has done this twice before, first time I thought (cos it was a hot night) it had just dried up in the nappy, but the last 2nigts here were cool and the nappy is definately dry (also doesn't smell like wee, I gave it a good sniff lol)

She has free access to water during the day plus breast feeds and BF to go to sleep at night and twice overnight, not that she would drink much then it's just to get her back to sleep. Plus, when she wakes up she wees heaps so I am not worried that she is dehydrated. For example this morning as soon as I changed her nappy she did two massive wees and two poos within the first hour and a half. Normal amount of wet nappies during the day. Other nights her nappy will be anywhere from soaked to slight damp.

Just wanted to know if anyone else's child has done this? It seems a bit weird to me but I don't believe there is anything wrong.

It almost sounds as though she's holding on overnight. If she was older, I'd take it as a sign to start toilet training. I wonder if she'd wee in a potty in the morning?

My DD2 has done this from about that age. Just gaining bladder control I think, I've never worried because she does a huge wee upon waking.

I just looked at your sig. She's probably a bit young for the potty. I thought she was a few months older.

DD did this from a similar age - or even younger - then with a massive wee in the morning. She was dry overnight from when she toilet trained at 2, so I think is just one of those things that some kids do.

My almost 17 month old DD hasn't wee'd overnight in I don't even know how long. We've managed to not need a nappy change overnight since she was a newborn (the wet nappy didn't bother her) and I'm sure it was by the 6 month mark that I realised she was waking up dry. We do have to change her shortly after waking though cause the nappy ends up quite soaked once she does wee.

My DS never wee-d or poo-ed in his sleep.(even as a tiny baby)
But he would go with minutes of waking up, so we didn't take the nappy off until he was able to understand the concept of going to the toilet, cause we didn't always hear him wake.
He day/night trained instantly once he knew to use the toilet and I could count on one hand the amount of time he has wet the bed.
Getting him to poo on the toilet, was an entirely different matter though :/

Babies using elimination communication often wake up dry. They hold on until morning. You may be interested in that/potty training.
