OK, without actually seeing where you're reading it from, the dip they refer to could be an implantation dip if it is within the "usual" 7 - 10 dpo timeframe.
A triphasic chart is a chart which shows three distinct levels of sustained temperatures. Before O, immediately after O and then a third level which occurs 7 - 10 days after ovulation and remains in that third level (or higher).
The important thing to remember is that you can have any or all of the signs, ie triphasic chart, implantation dip AND spotting and still NOT be pregnant. Just like you can have NONE of these and still BE pregnant. They are a good sign, but not gospel.
