Any Hand, Foot and Mouth disease aficionados?

DD2 has HFM. It is the worst case of it I have ever seen.
She started with a nappy area rash, it moved to her mouth, then her hands because she sucks her fingers and now the soles of her feet so it's painful to walk. She wakes screaming several (like 457) times a night because her mouth hurts. Last two nights she's vomited all over me (I think that's in distress though as she has a dreadful gag on her). The blisters on her bum are large and angry. She's beyond tired and miserable and I'm not that far behind. I've been doing all the recommended things.
Today she's developed a full body rash.

That's in response to the virus right?

If you push on the spots then remove your finger, do the spots disappear?
    (The ones on her body)
Does she still have a temp?

I'd get her to the Dr too. If nothing else there may be a better sort of pain relief or numbing cream that they could give? I hope she gets better soon xx

Poor DD. I can't help but I really hope she starts to get better soon.

    Thanks girls.

hmm might ring the doctor in the morning.

Ltd not petechiae, I don't think. Only very mild fever now compared to 2 days of nearly 40.

My dd had it mainly in her mouth in march and it was the most hideous thing I've experienced with both my kids. She barely ate for 4 days and woke screaming constantly - like every 1.5hrs. I used Panadol and nurofen piggy backed and that's all I could really do for her. Lots of ice to chew on and zooper doopers.

That's not good. DD1 and DD2 have had it. DD1 just got the spots on her hands and feet, but DD2 got them all over her body and they were huge.

DS2 had it, only a mild case, when he was around 18 months. He developed a nasty nappy rash, blisters on hands, feet and mouth as normal, and had a pretty terrible fever too. No all over rash though, I'd take her to the doc hun, sounds like it's pretty severe the poor little thing.

oh poppet! it must be really going around ATM as i know of several bubs that have it

I would see your GP and see what they reckon. even if they have some advice or a even a good shoulder to cry on...seriously, having to be so strong for a sick little person can take its toll xx

Well it seems that I jinxed it and we must have cracked it's peak yesterday. She slept long and well last night, no screaming at all. Has eaten and eaten today and the viral looking rash has gone. Bum now crusted over (TMI I know) just waiting for hands, feet and mouth.
