40th birthday present ideas

I need ideas. I have two 40th birthday presents to buy by next weekend. Both are girls I went to school with, we all see each other monthly for dinner but wouldn't say we were close.

I thought about making a collage of old photos I have from when we were teenagers but don't know if that's silly. What can I give them?

Depending on how much you want to spend but I thought of a pamper pack or a voucher to get their nails or toes done.

My good friend did that for my 40th- made a photo book of us (plus our other good friend who was 40a day after me) through the decades- 80s, 90 s and 00s. It's brilliant!

Photo book sounds like a nice idea.

Pamper voucher for massage or facial.
Meal voucher for fav restaurant or even a best restaurants gift card.
Teapot or nice cup and saucer.

Great thread Tinks, I've got a 40th next weekend and I was struggling for ideas too. I wonder if a restaurant voucher wold work for my friend? With additional babysitting voucher I think.

I turned 40 this year and (from different friends) I was given champers, a coffee machine thingy (manual single cup contraption) with a grinder and coffee beans, a magazine subscription, chocolates and a necklace. Those presents ranged from old friends to new. They were all lovely presents
