    Biopsy- turnaround time

I had a biopsy today an wondering if anyone knows the pathology turnaround time for them? My dr has given me an ultrasound referral and said she'll see me in 7 days. She said if the biopsy comes back as anything, she'll call me but didn't say when it'd be back..

It's only been 2 hours and I'm already driving myself crazy!

    Biopsy- turnaround time

I think it depends on what was biopsied. It can take a few days.

In the meantime: distraction therapy. Go shopping, watch a funny movie, phone a friend. Start a new hobby. Do whatever you need to take your mind off it.

A friend of mine had a biopsy last week, was done in Monday and had results by Thursday. Good luck

It depends on what they biopsied and what they are looking for. As a general rule, min 2 days and up to 10.

perfect distractor! If it helps, the vast majority of biopsies come up clear, it's usually more about the doctor ruling nasty things out than finding them. I hope the results come through quickly and bring peace of mind. x
