This is coming to town soon and since it has already been through Australia I was wondering if anyone has been and if it is worth going to? It happens to fall right around birthday week and I thought I could take my girls as a treat but it would be around $80 for the three of us in the cheap seats so I want to make sure it is worth it first.
We went last time, and to be honest, I didn't think much of it. My boys liked it, but didn't love it iykwim. It was really just a bunch of people walking around with puppets on their hands.
We were going to go when it was here, and heard a number of bad reviews so gave it a miss. I hadn't realised it was hand puppets until I read the reviews.
Oh no - wish I had seen this earlier. We have bought tickets to the Peppa show in November at the Arts Centre in Melbourne. $120 for 2 tickets... I didn't realise it would be hand puppets, that's terrible.
We went last time; our boys liked it. The hand puppets aren't that small- close to arm length in height for the peppa, George characters the adult characters were bigger
I took DD and DS (18m and almost 5 at the time) - we all loved it actually. It was very clever and my kids were absolutely enthralled. Worth every penny IMO. I actually thought it was a nice change with the puppets, nice to introduce a different type of show to the children. It was also interactive and DS was yelling back at the stage with great enthusiasm.
