Hen's nights - silly question

I honestly can't believe I need to ask this, but I think I've had two babies since I last went to a Hens' Night - and my youngest is about to turn 8! Do you take presents to Hen's Nights and if so, what? This is for someone I used to work with and might again, but I don't generally socialise with her and I haven't been invited to the wedding.

I think it varies, but mostly no - you pay your way - so if it's a meal and an activity you pay for your own and often chip in a bit extra to pay for the bride's as well.
