    Bugaboo Frog?

Im considering getting another pram for DS2 who is 7 months. he is fine in my current pram and i dont *need* another one, i just dont love the fact my seat doesnt sit more upright. The only prams that i can find that really do this are the bugaboo prams, and possible the Stokke, but they are even more expensive.

I have come across a bugaboo frog that is 6 years old that is selling for $150 - i guess cuz the frog is no longer sold and is 6 years old. Can anyone tell me if this is similar to the cameleon in the seat design.

Im just not sure i can justify the $600+ an even second hand cameleon will be selling for..

    any advice?

It is from what I can tell. Join the Facebook bug mammas page - there are often some bargains on there.

Also, I haven't seen too many sell over 600 unless they have heaps of extras. I'm looking at selling mine soon and don't expect to get that much (it will be 2 years old)

For $150 i would give it a go. I saw a frog selling recently for $300. They look very similar to the cam to me. Maybe google images and compare cam seats to frog seats?

Haven't heard from the frog lady , so not sure if it is still for sale...

There is a lady selling a cameleon for $400 which includes bassinet, toddler seat, rain cover, sun shade, basket and care kit and manuals/.

Looks in good condition.. Is this a good price?

    Re: Bugaboo Frog?

Depends on what generation it is (1, 2, or 3). Given it comes with a sun shade, is suggest it is a gen 2 as they came standard with a gen 2 but not gen 3. Care kit also came standard with earlier models and not gen 3. If it is in really good condition (no fading, stains, rips in foam) then possibly a good price. Also depends on colour of brake and just how old it is (a gen 2 purchased in 2009 would be worth less than one in 2011).

MG - u seem to know ur stuff! What about a 2006 cam with a breezy hood and winter hood, bassinet, toddler board, shopping basket, hooks and maintenance kit.. If I could get for around $110 plus shipping so maybe. $80.. Would this be worth t or too much to spend on a cam that old?

    Re: Bugaboo Frog?

Ive picked up a bit since joining a bug page but still don't know much compared to them! But I love mine so much I've recently decided not to sell until we absolutely do not need it anymore ( I was selling to get a stroller but don't really like the bee). I have a cam3.

That age would prob be a gen 1. By winter hood, do you mean hood or footmuff?

Again, $110 is a good price if it is in good condition. A gen 1 in immaculate condition isn't worth much more than$150 but this one has extras with it.

Also, just to confuse you more, there are fake gen 2s on the market so be wary. Ask for a photo of the serial number and check it against the bugaboo website.

    Re: Bugaboo Frog?

$150 for a frog is the standard price

you can interchange the hoods with cam ones too.

as MG mentioned there are fakes out there that look really close to the real deal so be aware of that. there are tell tale signs of fakes and can include: the bug rings are the same thickness, there is usually an extra velcro strap holding the seat to the frame, and materials can be super shiny.

also there is a dodgy mob on gumtree that usually advertise from sydney and there is no pram.

i wouldnt pay more than 350 for a gen1 cam.

basically i would prefer to buy when i can inspect the pram on purchase. there are so many dodgy ppl out there!

    Hey girls,

Any advice on a gen 2, 2011 limited edition denim cam but no bassinet? Asking $350? I don't mind no bassinet as ds2 is 8 months so not an issue. Is this a good price? Looks in great condition?

    Re: Bugaboo Frog?

i reckon $350 is a good price. i would ask whether it is a built pram though. without a bassi i would think that either they sold it off (the fabric) or maybe have built the pram themselves. worst case it that it was a stolen pram...but that is rare. most peeps tend to sell of the bassi fabric to pay for our constant addiction to pimping our prams hahaha

I am on BAM and a few more lol...totally obsessed lol

I'm on BAM too. But that's it. I almost never comment though. We were going to sell our Bug and downsize to a stroller but we changed our minds - largely because I love our Cam so much!

I'm on BAM too, but don't comment too often anymore. I was going to sell my Cam, to downsize to a bee, but haven't gotten around to it yet!
