If the gp was here, I wouldn't question it, but he's 55kms away. And we're under a severe weather warning. Not an easy decision to make when you gotta go that far, in these seriously dangerous winds (my trampoline is in a neighbours yard).
Dd3 is almost 4. She had high fevers & was sleepy/lethargic on Saturday & complaining of a headache. She vomited around lunch time, so I put it down to gastro.
She slept over 12 hours that night. Would've been around 39.
But she hasn't vomited again. She's not snotty or chesty. There is nothing else.
So I decided it must be a viral thing. Kept the nurofen up & she's been ok & playing happily. Not her usual self, but ok. Only heating up between doses.
Now we're on day 3. Still saying she's got a headache when the nurofen wears off. Thinking maybe she should see the doctor? But don't have money to spare & I really don't wanna risk driving unless I have too :/
Re: Trying to decide if a sickie should see the gp
Call healthdirect. They can do an assessment on the phone and tell you what they recommend. I've called before when I wasn't sure if DS needed a Dr or not.
Re: Trying to decide if a sickie should see the gp
And she's up again. 38 again. Too late to get into the doc now & I'm leaving her with mum tomorrow to take DS to Perth for an app on Wednesday.
I'll call health direct & see what they say.
Re: Trying to decide if a sickie should see the gp
Well, she never did get over it. Saw the gp Tuesday. Headed to hospital last night. She's had a bladder infection all this time. But only started to complain about it yesterday arvo.
