Reasons my Toddler has thrown a tantrum this week....

Not to dismiss they are completely valid and important issues for her, but to debrief to my fellow Mummies in an effort to laugh instead of cry .....

Reasons my toddler has thrown tantrums this week......

    1. I wouldn't let her run through the busy school car park during the after school rush
    2. I put the vacuum away
    3. I made her come inside when it was raining
    4. Her brother got a cup of milk exactly like hers
    5. I wouldn't put bum cream on her bum like I did with her brother (there is nothing wrong with her bum)
    6. I stopped her from sitting on her brother

It's a hard life being two!!!!

Re: Reasons my Toddler has thrown a tantrum this week....

Because her Minnie Mouse toy didn't come when she called it/her
Because the wrong show came on TV (according to her)
Because we ran out of blueberries

Because the straw on her new drink bottle is bigger than the old one.
Because raspberry jam toast is incredibly offensive this week.

Re: Reasons my Toddler has thrown a tantrum this week....

Within the space of half an hour the other day at the shops:

    - Because I wouldn't let her play on a bench for more than five minutes.

    - Because I wouldn't let her go in the changeroom and play.

    - Because I wanted to walk into a shop.

    - Because I wanted to look at things in the shop instead of running around it.

    - Because when she ran away from me I called out her name too loudly/angrily.

    - Because she wanted me to buy her the pretty pink "undies" (g-string) she picked up.

    - Because I wanted to leave the shop and sit with her to calm her down.

    - Because she wanted to get down from the chair but not hold my hand.

... And that's only the specifics I can remember, there were more:

Re: Reasons my Toddler has thrown a tantrum this week....

    1. Because I wouldn't let him jump off the couch and onto his brother.

    2. Because he had to get into the car.

    3. Because he had to get out of the car.

    4. Because I wouldn't take him to see "baby pterodactyls". Yes, as in flying dinosaurs.

    5. Because he finished eating all his (and the rest of my) dinner, and there wasn't any more.

    6. Because he wanted seconds, but he was expecting the seconds to be cold, and they were still warm as I hadn't tubbed them up and put them in the fridge (because I had *expected* him to want more!!)

NB: Luckily, DS2's tantrums last for about 60 seconds, so I can't really complain.

Re: Reasons my Toddler has thrown a tantrum this week....

    1. Because he wanted to carry logs while out getting firewood.

    2. Because he wanted to go home.

    3. Because once in the car he wanted to stay wood cutting with Daddy.

    4. Because he wanted to sit in the front seat of the car.

    5. Because I drove to kinder instead of taking him back to the plantation hours later.

    6. Because he locked me out of the toilet and I wanted to get the door open.

    7. Because his Daddy told him to stop jumping on the bed.

    8. Because his brother wanted to play with him.

    9. Because his dinner was taken off him after he tried to empty his milk into it.

It has been a long day.

I said "put your shoes on" and he wanted to wear boots.
    His sister looked at him.

I don't really have anything =( seems kinda boring here...all our meltdowns are really when she is just exhausted..
She did get cranky the other day because the 'nigh nighs' song finished and I wouldn't play it again (for the 5th time...) (a song I sing to her at night but is on a cd in my car so she insists on listening to it every trip. And then demands the 'other song' and I have no idea what song she is talking about and narrowing it down from the 3000 or so options in the car is hard)

Re: Reasons my Toddler has thrown a tantrum this week....

I used his shovel to pick up poo to put in a bag
    His pink bucket was empty
His pink bucket had hay in it
I wouldn't let him ride my horse (he did yesterday but the poor thing was eating brekky today)
He wanted to go back up the house
He didn't want to leave the stable
We left his grabber hand down the stable
I wouldn't let him take his helicopter parts out of the playroom
    He didn't want brekky
I put on the wrong TV
    He WAS NOT hungry.

In his defence all these things are very important and he'd not had brekky yet today and Daddy's alarm woke him up stupidly early.
After a poo and some food I have my charming happy young man back.

Because the postman hasn't come yet.

because I am not a mind reader, and need her to tell me what she wants to eat.

Lol I can relate to that! Buster loves Bonfire Heart by James Blunt and requests it whenever we are in the car...over and over. And over. I don't mind the song but after 20 times there will a tantrum when I refuse to play it again!

Not my toddler, but at the Robbie Williams concert I went to the other day, he told the audience that his daughter (Teddy) listens to Beyonce's "Single Ladies" over and over. Apparently he put on one of his own songs once, said "Shall we listen to a bit of Daddy?" and she screamed until he put Beyoncé back on

Because i wouldnt let her itch her face

Because kristoff's head keeps falling off the figurine coz its a cheap china made toy

All this in the last hr ....
