Dry flaky poo in fully breastfed nearly 6 month old.

She's sick with a throat infection and started antibiotics yesterday. She also developed thrush I noticed on Wednesday which I'm treating too. It's been a hot day and she hasn't taken the usual size feeds for the past two days. Tonight's have been a bit better though. I've not seen such dry poo like this though. Dry liquid if that makes sense.... Not lumps at all.

No idea Hun. But couldn't leave you with no replies =( could it have been moist before and just dried out eg in very absorbent nappy, or been on too long?
I don't know. I think the key thing here though is if she still has good input - bf and is she on solids yet? If her input is good and she remains hydrated, that is what matters.

Shes much better thanks OP. Her poo is still a bit darker and more Orange than usual. But she's definitely more herself and doesn't seem as upset as she was on Friday and Saturday. She's drinking more and her nappies seem as wet as usual which is a relief.

I was using disposables on Saturday when I posted this, so I wondered whether the poo was really wet and simply soaked into the nappy. It was weird compared to her previous poo in disposables though.

Thanks tt40. She was drinking a bit less, but it picked up yesterday which was a relief. I was watching her nappies and they were drier than usual which worried me. But I just kept offering. She doesn't eat much solid food, and I just kept it alone while she had the sore throat. She had some pumpkin snd potato last night which she took well, so back onto daily solid food attempts again I think

Glad to hear she is feeling better and picking up.
