Red long mark 2 days post needles. When to worry?

So poor DD had her 4 months needles on Saturday. The injection site looked fine that day, but yesterday she developed a raised circular red bump on one leg and an elongated, flat, red, hot mark on the other leg. Today the circular bump is almost gone, but the long red mark is even bigger than before. I know redness and swelling is normal, but when do you start worrying? How long does it take for them to go away? It's very tender to the touch too and she absolutely screams when you accidentally brush past it. So when does the pain ease off?

She had no reaction to her first needles apart from a slightly raised temp. This time she was clearly in pain and deeded panadol and she is still sooky today. I'm just after some advice.

Here are some pics (2 days post vax). The mark is a lot redder IRL

I'd call a doc and get their opinion.
Hopefully it's not a problem but good to check

I agree I would take her back to the dr just to be sure. I always think if you are worried you should get it checked, great outcome when they tell you its all normal

All good now. It went down the day after the post. It ended up looking like a bruise, but still hard and raised. No pain though, she didn't seem to be bothered at all. I was gonna go to the doc in the morning, but she was all happy again and it wasn't hot or painful anymore. After about a week it was almost completely gone. Still, I will mention it to our gp when I see her in 2 weeks time. Just so I know how to deal with it in the future.
