Menstrual cup and miscarriage?

Not sure if I'm posting in the right spot, but I'm hoping someone can give me a clue here.
I'm just going through a miscarriage at 7 wks. The bleeding isn't super heavy and the cramping is going away, but I was wondering if I can use my menstrual cup, or if I'm not supposed to insert anything for a while, just like with postpartum bleeding.
Any help would be appreciated!

I e-mailed the makers of the cup (mine is a Lunette) and they said that if the doctor said tampons were OK, then the cup would be fine too. I'll have to double check with my family doctor. The doctor I saw in emerg didn't say anything about it either way.
