Unhappy Lumps under arm following C-Section

Has anyone experienced blocked lymph glands in your armpit following a C-Section? My GP thought it was related to the drip in my arm & said that the lumps would become smaller over a week & disappear over three weeks. But they've just gotten a bit bigger...certainly not smaller. They are painless but I'm really freaking out about it. I will have to go back to him if they don't go away but I wanted to know if anyone had heard of this before?
I'm petrified that I have cancer or something & it's really dampening my new baby joy.

Wow, I haven't heard of that before......doesn't sound very pleasant!

Sorry it's putting a dampener on things.....and I hope that they resolve themselves quickly for you.

    Are you Bf?
I would think it has more to do with milk supply.

I had lumps under my armpits from breastmilk build up, one which lasted the whole year that I was breastfeeding, with each of my children. It was sort of under my armpit, but on the chest side, not on the actual arm, if that makes sense. Is it on your arm, or chest?

You should see my underarm! With my first pg I had a lump, Dr said it was a lymph gland but Ob said it was breast tissue. At hung around till AF returned about 12 months after the birth.
2nd Pg it returned with 3 friends. I had golf balls in my arm pit when my milk came in. It settled down eventually but is still there & noticable with out feeling for them, they started to settle down once AF returned. Now I am overdue with #3 & have such a noticable bulge in my arm pit its not funny. They are a little painful, not really pain, just uncomfortable.
I had an u/s done on them b4 I fell pg as there was a hard little pea size lump in amougst them. That was a cyst. The u/s report said they couldn't identify what the other lumps were & suggested a biopsy but the Dr said they were all cysts & nothing to be worried about. When I asked for referal to see a breast specialist because I wasn't happy with how she had just labeled the rest as the same thing, SHE LAUGHED AT ME!
I have never been back to her, but I have spoken with a lot of midwifes & Lc's who all say that its breast tissue. The fact that they became engorged when my milk came with with DS#2 proves thats to some degree.
They do bother me still on some level but not enough to run off & get anything done. I will one day speak with a breast specialist, as I don't really want them to stay there the rest of my life!
Funny thing is, they settle down once AF returns.
