we have all been sick with everything thats is going around, so i havn't been on for a while.
Ryan is going great he is due for his 2nd lot of immunizations in a couple of weeks, his reflux is clearing up and he spends most of his days smiling and giggling.
I hope you are all well
Take care
Naomi, hope you are all feeling better now! Glad to hear Ryan's reflux is clearing up, that must be such a relief for you!
Hope everyone else is going well. Kaleb is great, still sleeping well thank goodness, and loving his food! He has started eating a few green vegies and the last couple of days I've given him some cottage cheese which has gone down well. I'm thinking about dropping him from 4 bottles to 3 as he is eating so well. Can't believe he is 6 months next week! I'll be interested to find out his weight at his check up!
Hi everyone, welcome to June. I can't believe how quickly the year is going!!
Everything is good here, took emily to caloundra last weekend - she was great. Only fussed a little bit on the plane and was generally well behaved. Is exhausting travelling with kids though.
Pam - was a cutie Tahlia is, what a lovely site as well.
Welcome Zola! Hope the house is going well and those 2 boys of yours.
Beth - glad to hear that Kaleb is sleeping well and eating well.
Naomi - hope the sickness is all gone from your place now. Yay on Ryans reflux clearing up.
Scarlett - glad that the trip went well. I bet it is exhausting travelling with kids, a day trip out with Matty is exhausting enough!
Well, Matty is fine, still sleeping well and smiling and laughing so much - I just can't believe it!
Have 2 small woo hoos today. First is that DH let me sleep in until 8.30! He got up at 6.00am to feed little man with EBM I had ready. It was lovely - although the bb's were a little heavy and full of milk.
Second woo hoo is that Matty's first tooth has popped through! I can't believe that either. DH spotted it this morning and there it is on the bottom. So cute.
Yey for the first tooth Nell, hope he doesn't bite you with it.
Not too much happening here, have found a daycare mum to start with until a place opens up at the centre we want. Can't beleive there is only four weeks until I go back to work. Not happy about it but not much I can do at this point so oh well. We were going to give Em her first solids today, but she fell asleep during her feed and is still snoring so it will keep until tommorrow.
Lily is 6mths old next week, OMG! She is having her needles next tuesday and getting weighed and measured which she hasnt had since 4mths! She feels likes she has put on a ton.
I bought that Jolly Jumper for her and she absolutely loves it.
She is still sleeping through and her damn tooth hasnt come up yet and still giving her grief.
Her babling is coming along and she can almost say baba so we're working on that word the most at the moment.
I have heaps of photos of her but with dial-up i cant put them on my site. Hopefully I can soon and you will see how much she has grown!
Tegan, hard to believe the little ones are almost 6 months! Glad to hear Lily loves the Jolly Jumper, Kaleb loves his too, when he is grumpy and nothing will cheer him up, I pop him in and he is guaranteed to be happy!
Wow Nell, woohoo for Matty's tooth!
Scarlett, did you give Em solids today? How'd she go?
Welcome Zola! Hope Sebastian is doing well!
Had some friends around yesterday who have a 1 yr old boy ... Kaleb is almost the same size as him! It was so cool to see them interacting and babbling to each other.
Well, heres me thinking geeez BB has been quiet and then I finally realise its a new month so all new threads so I wasnt getting the notifications LOL
Pam - Tahlia is sooo cute
Nellbe - how exciting to have that 1st tooth, I know ours is close but not quite through yet!
Tegan - Jaykob absolutely loves his jolly jumper, he bounces and laughs at himself. I can sympathise on the dial up taking ages too, we ordered broadband, waiting on the modem to come but are used to cable. The pics take ageeeees
Well Jaykob is almost 6 months, which is really scary... Time has flown. He started solids full on about a week ago, before that he was having farex.
He loves vegies and DP always seems to be the one giving him the yummy custard ones so he's in the good books lol
I was wondering if anyone else gives juice? As in like the baby juice you buy at the supermarket? or other types? experiences?
The whole solids thing has been a little daunting, The first day I thought it was fun but then I started thinking geez am I giving too much / too little. When how who what where lol
I'll figure it out hahah
Jaykob sits up now which is funny to wathc, occasionally he topples over, almost looks like its in slow motion hahahaha
well we started on solids and she took them really well. Ate about a teaspoon or so of rice cereal with no ill effects. It is weird stuff - goes all watery when you mix it with breast milk. Am starting to get really nervous about day care as she is still fighting drinking from a bottle, we are going to get really tough with her this weekend and see how she goes.
Well, just popping in to say goodbye cos my little man is 6 months today! Had his check up yesterday, he was 9.08kg and 72.5cm, so not so little! Hope everyone continues to do well, and I'll see you and your gorgeous bubs in the next forum soon!
Kathryn thanks for transferring my details over for me. I guess that means I really do have to move to this forum now and admit that Tehya is getting older
Haven't really had the chance to read up on how you are all doing so I will just say that I hope everyone is doing great and that all bubs are doing well and growing nicely.
Tehya is going preety good. Still not a fantastic sleeper, she likes to catnap during the day and we get around a 5 hour straight sleep from about 8 or 9pm then she's up every 2-3 hours after that. Even so she is pretty happy, most of the time she will just sit and have a chat or kick aorund when she's awake.
We were doing really well til she went to hosp. I think that upset her body abit.
She's growing nicely but still no where near as big as the boys were at the same age and they were all pretty close in birth weights. Had her weighed on Friday and she is 5.70kgs or 12lb 5 oz or so. 63.5cm long (she grew 3 cm in 3 weeks) and hc. 39cm. I love that she is staying littler for longer. She will be my last bub so the longer she stay's little to me the happier I am (of course that's as long as she's healthy).
