We are doing well. 1 term to go before Kameron starts pre-enty to kindergarten. It has come around so quick. He will also start pre-enty with a friend from Playgroup (another little boy) so he will enjoy that.
At the moment Andrew is trying to count stuff for work and Kam is going 1 1 1 1 1 1 which keeps putting andrew off. What a crack up !!!

Hi - pre entry to kinda - is that one of the things some schools run ? or is it another name for 3yo kinda ?
Caitlin is going to an ABC childcare center on Mondays from tomorrow. I rang one last Thursday, had a tour on Friday and signed her up straight away. I wanna go too, the place is amazing. I was never 100% happy with the old creche but never thought I'd get her in anywhere else, all you hear about are the waiting lists at places. I sign up for semester two classes on tuesday, I just have to hope I get into the monday classes for the subjects I'm doing !
I'm also having an ultrasound on friday, I'll be almost 20 weeks. Most excited.
Pre-entry kindy here is for 10 weeks before the child turns 4, just to get them used to kindy rules etc, and allow them to have a slow introduction into it. it is 1 day a week. They go to the proper kindergarten, but on the day they go it is only pre-entry children there is no full time kindy children, as our kindergartens only do 4 sessions a week full time.
Kameron is one that will scream if the channel is changed on him during the day, or if he is outside and playing and comes in and the channel has been changed.
It does sound like it was a bit of malnipulation on his behalf to get his way. Don't blame him though don't like the footy either rofl
hehehe - we have the 'talking with dad' thing here too ! Cait will have her 'say' and then go off and play.
She has also been known to carry on if you turn her show off and we do the same thing about sharing the TV or when it goes off, I say its been on too long and it's getting hot !
How did you older boy go when the second child was born ?
Kameron loves being an older brother, especially now that lachlan is so much more interactive with him. When Lachlan was first born he was great with him soon learnt to be gentle etc and would help me out doing stuff for him like giving him a bath or getting me a nappy etc.
Kameron came in from being outside and said "mummy fly in my ear" so I thought he meant he just had a fly near his ear annoying him, so I just shrugged him off. He said it again "fly in ear mummy" and pointed inside his ear. So I put my ear against his ear and couldn't hear any buzzing, but he insisted there was a fly in his ear. So I found the torch and sure enough I could see something moving around in there but it wasn't a fly it was an ant !!! So I rang mum and said "What do I do" and thankfully my step-dad was home and she said "ring the doctors and we will be there in 20mins to take you" I looked again moments before they arrived and i couldn't see it but wasn't sure if it had gone deeper or come out. We went to GP anyway and he said there was nothing in there but checked for bites which there were none. So i was relieved and embarrased all at the same time.
Poor Kam at least he told me though, even though it did take 3 goes for me to believe him LOL.

One of my kids once put an m&m up his nose (right up his nose to a land far, far away). I blocked off the other nostril and told him to blow and tried to make a bit of a game out of it (still only 1 y o at the time). Luckily he thought the game was hilarious and blew and out shot this M&m, which he then quickly snatched up off the carpet and ate #-o

How is everyone going ??? Kam is getting really excited cause he knows it is Andrew's b/day tomorrow so all night he has been asking for Party Cake.
Had a blast at playgroup yesterday afternoon. tuesday arvo sessions are actually run by childhood workers. It was really cool. They had that toy elephant that blows air through it's trunk and pushes out butterflies which the kids must catch in the net... it is called "Elefun" and you can buy it in Target etc. Well Kameron thought it was the best thing since sliced bread, so I had to ring mum today to request it for him for a b/day or xmas present.
He has been funny while we have been teaching Lachlan how to walk. When Lachlan does walk Kameron will come up to me and say "my turn mum" so I have to hold his hands, let go and then he walks like Lachlan does. It is quite amusing really, but he loves his little brother and quite often hugs him and says "love you Lachlan"
Counting down the weeks now till he starts pre-entry till Kindy. I am glad it isn't 4 weeks away like it was originally meant to be LOL. Have 11wks to go now (9wks of term, 2 weeks of holidays)
