Just wondered if anyone has one? We got one a few months ago & we're loving it We've only bought a few of the mixes as we found cordial to be the same & way cheaper!! We haven't liked the lemonade, but being a lemonade drinker over anything else fizzy I'm particularly fussy on that one. Aaron's enjoying the energy drink one though.
The cordials we've tried so far are:
* Bundaberg Ginger cordial *YUM*
* Sunny Boys Raspberry (I was norti & hid Zander's red coloured cold medicine in it!)
* Schweppes Lime
* Schweppes Lemon
* Ribena
Anyone else tried anything different that was really yummy? I was thinking of trying to make lemon lime & bitters in it, but haven't just yet.
My friend has one and she loves it. We're more into Pepsi Max than any other sort of fizzy drink so we're a bit fussy too and haven't got one but in the future wemight get one for the kids.
we bought one a couple of months ago and love it. We just make up a jug with diet coridal and the soda from the soda stream with heaps of ice. Treat for the kids and no sugar.
where do you get the cylinders from ?? still on the first one but its nearly out
Bickford's Sars Sara - YUM. There is another brand of Sars which is nicer but you can't get it in supermarkets. I can't even remember the name of it! DOH! But I have seen it at my old F&V shop... I'll try and find the name for you.

We just got ours from KMart & they have heaps of cylinders there. It seems though that it would be cheaper to buy the whole set again & get the 2 cylinders & 2 bottle all over again. We'll see when we run out, still on the first cylinder.
We used to have one at mums when I was a teenager and I loved them back then, until one night I made a soda stream for myself, and the gas cylinder exploded in my face. I was 17/18 so knew how to use it correctly etc. Just an unfortunate accident. Thankfully I wasn't too badly injured, but I refuse to ever buy another one.
Apart from shaken up and not being able to bend my fingers for a while, due to the coldness from the gas, I was fine. We had one of those ones where you pushed the button or something on top of the machine. so my hands copped majority of the explosion.
Bumping this back up, saw them at the shops and have been thinking about getting one?? Any opinions after having for awhile now Sarah? How long did the gas cartridge last?
My husband and his family LOVE soda stream. I like the just plain water with bubbles, drank alot of while pg. Apparently you can get the bottle either refilled or replaced at KMart or Big W for about $10. I havent done it yet so dont quote me on the price. Hubby loves the apple and the cola.

we had one at nans as a kid and we loved it ,so im now going to look into getting one and now that sarah has even said the gas bottles are easy to get well im getting one

Just bumping this up Anyone have/use one? I'm trying to wean myself off a (major) diet coke addiction and my other soft drink of choice is flavored mineral water so thought the SS might be a good choice? I shop monthly and the number of soft drink cans/bottles is embarrassing....and expensive! Any feedback appreciated
We have one and it's great. I find it to taste more like mineral water than soft drink. I haven't tried the cola flavour so can't help you there. I'm a big soda water fan, would easily go through three bottles per week, but since we got the soda stream, we haven't bought a bottle again.
