Michelle - Great to hear about your wonderful time in Queensland, and you came home to a clean house. I wish my DH would make an effort like that when I am away.
Christy - I hope your mum gets the all clear to be able to get onto her flight, are you looking at cutting work hours down again in order to cope a bit better ??
Simone - Great to hear from you.
Well I have a little bit of news... on Sunday Lachlan stood up from sitting down all by himself \/ so now I don't have to go over and pick him up anymore if he is stuck on the floor YAY !!! but at him becoming Mr Independant now. I just wish he would get over the 2pm - 5pm bewitching hour, where he does nothing but scream.
I hope everyone else is going well Finally a half decent day here so I have to do my 2 tonne of washing LOL.
Morning!!! Im enjoying some 'me' time as both the kids are still asleep!! I have the 2 tonne of washing, plus floors that are in desperate need of a wash, but i feel too yuck to do anything... been waking like this for about 3 days!!
ok, spoke too soon, the litle munchkin's waking, and im starving... later ldies!!
 FIVE loads Kathryn? That is a lot of washing! You must have a very big clothes' line.
Glad to hear the sicknesses are clearing up for you other ladies. Hopefully you're all through the worst of it now.
Gabrielle's head is much better (and would be even better if Zeke stopped poking the bruise and saying "sore! poor Dowl"... he can't say Gabrielle so calls her Dowl or sometimes Missy).
Gabrielle has a wonderful kindy teacher and I learnt yesterday that the teacher's 5 year old son fell off his bunk bed onto the bed below on Friday night and died from internal bleeding and a ruptured spleen. It's such a tragedy and my heart goes out to this wonderful lady who has lost her only child. So I'll be heading off to a funeral later this week.
It's hard to know what to say to her. I'll have to do some thinking and praying between now and then, I think. There's such a fine line between offering support and comfort and intruding on someone's private grief, especially when you don't know them really well IYKWIM.
Anyway, hope that didn't put a downer on your evening. Just something that has been on my mind constantly since I heard.
Well I ended up doing 7 loads and could have easily got 8 !! Thankfully Misty it was a nice day here so by 3pm I had brought in a couple of loads again, and yep I have a big hills hoist clothes line so can easily fit 8 loads depending on what I am washing.
OMG at the Kindy teachers son as well.... We have bunk beds but it doesn't have the ladder attached to get to the top, even I can hardly get up there without the ladder. Think the ladder might stay unattached for quite a few years yet so the boys can't climb up. How scary.
Hehe... no washing for me yesterday, was all out of washing powder!
Have about 3 loads to do today though.
Still all sick over here... we are taking Aidyn to the Drs this arvo, I suspect he might have an ear infection maybe, cause he keeps touching and hitting at his ear, and his balance is not very good at all.
DP is still sick as well, and I am on again off again... yesterday I was all aching and shivery, but today I feel better again.
Misty - OMG about Gabrielles Kindy teachers son.... that is so shocking... how traumatic for the family... my heart goes out to her...
oh Misty thats so sad what happened. I truely feel for her. It would be so hard to know what to say & how to offer support during this time, but sometimes just knowing that someone is thinking & praying for them is the best support you can give. That would be devestating.
Earlier this year our friends had a tragedy in their family with one of the children & we had a hard time knowing how to offer support, but we just made lots of meals & dropped them off in an esky with a card....
(our washing is still up on the line this morning 8-[ better go get it off....)
HI girls- wow it was busy in here yesterday wasn't it, has to be cos I didn't come on so have 3 pages to read LOL
Mysti- that is so so sad about the teachers son, i understand not knowing what to say too, cos I would feel tha same, it's so tragic cos millions of kids sleep in bunks and are fine, but it's just a freak thing I guess.
Kelly I hope Asha is better and you don't get called to get her.
Washing day was yesterday for me too, I did 5 loads but spaced them over the day, last one bf bed, cos I can't use the clothes line, so lonly have clothes horse and dryer. I load this morning and so sad Ambah cos I too have no powder left LOL
Ambah-Hope you all feel better today.
Simone- hope you do too, there's nothing worse than being crook and looking after kids.
Christy that is amazing how your Mum got in straight away, hope she can go home soon. And Arron was trying to get me to look up info for him to go to Darwin last night, I told him to not even think about it this side of Xmas, like he will listen to me LOL Not looking forward to him going though. He said he was flat out while I was away, and while he did keep the place clean, the washing hasn't been put away, just stacked in the rumpus, he didn't wash clothes ( MIL did on Saturday though and when she folded the washing she did what I hate and left everything in the wrong way instead of turning it bf folding, so I had to refold 75% of the stuff), and he also didn't clean toiltets or bathrooms. And I pointed that out to him when he said about me being able to keep the house clean as it is atm. And he agreed that it was true, AHHH a milestone in our lives has been met I think, appreciation for what I do, probably won't last long though.
Kellee- bugger about falling asleep, hope you find the time to do the assignment. It is hard with bubs to study
Kathryn- hi and hope you got all the washing in yesterday and also enjoy no playgroup, or do you have to be there for the shed erection?
I am sure I missed somebody, that always happens when I miss a day
I am here checking up, wanted to see if there was info about Yvette and the twinnies, can't wait for the announcement.
Nope don't have to be there for the shed erection the kindy teachers can handle that but looking forward to seeing in on Friday, and actually looking forward to getting back there. driving me insane looking at 4 walls all day, going out to visit one of the mums tomorrow so at least that will get me out of the house for an hour or so
Kelly just asked me to post a msg about *yvette* as well so I have done that in the Messages for other members section, in case ppl want to post well wishes etc.
Not much going on with us Kimberley is doing really well and just loves to talk. We went to CYH on Tuesday and she talked none stop they also thought she was 3 and not 2½ as they said she is so tall. I always thought she was small for her age.
She is great with Alexander still which is good.
I keep upto date with my washing i try and do it everyday or every other day even when it is rain. I just put it on the airer if it is rain as i don't have a dryer.
Yay for Yvette! How exciting! Can't wait to see some pics.
There is a LOT to catch up on here, and i don't have too much time so I'm sorry if I miss anyone out.
Misty - I know that the rights words will come to you. What a horrible thing to have happen, and so unexpected. She's in my thoughts. Glad to hear Gabrielle's head is getting better.
Wow, Aidyn's still sick! The poor little guy. I banish that illness from your house and wish you all a speedy recovery. You too, Jillian. There must be something in the water. Yep, Ekka time sucks. We've been fortunate enough to miss the flu this year (touch wood) but everyone else I know is crook.
Mitch - are DH's put here to make us angry? Ggrr... at least the house was reasonably tidy when you came home. Why would MIL leave things in the wrong way? So silly. She might as well have not done it at all.
Hello Michelle - I don't think I've met you yet. I think there are still a few people on here I haven't met - anyway, nice to meet you! Kimberely must be so cute talking so much. I can't imagine my Charlie doing that at all!
Trying to do this blasted assignment, but the computer keeps stuffing up and I can't look for any of the things I'm supposed to. DH has a 'sick day' tomorrow as he has a gig in town and they wouldn't have given him the day off. Hope he doesn't get sprung. My little boy is with his Nana today so I can do some uni work - I really miss him! I might go and pick him up early...
Anyway, back to it. Hope you're all well.
Michelle sounds like Kimberly is going very well, reminds me so much of Jemma cos she never shuts up, although since I got back from QLD she has been doing stupid baby talking, which does annoy me. She wanted me to open the door today and instead of asking she said something like "shh lish msh bsh" So I wouldn't open the door until she spoke English, so she did but after it added the stupid words anyway GRRR! She also has wet her pants 3 out of 4 days, which is frustrating, I am not sure if she is just leaving it late or doing it for attention.
Kellee- I hope you got stuff done today and that DH gets away with his wagging LOL. Charlie will be chatting away bf you know it! Worse luck! Jessica will be joining us in this forum in 8 days and it's not fair! I don't want her to turn 1, or 2 or any other age actually LOL, what can I do!
Hi to everyone else, hope that Christy Ambah, Jen and everybody else who has sickies atm sees an improvement today.
I had 2 gf's drop up today, one after the other, so endless chatting LOL, just what I need. Arron went to play golf with the neighbour and another guy, promising to be back by around 5ish and if he's not we won't be having tea cos we have nothing to cook, Jemma is very tired and sooky, wish it was bedtime actually, would be nice!
Anyway must run, was so rapt for Yvette and the twins weren't too big after all, thank goodness, I was getting worried for her, with them getting so big. Just goes to show that ultrasounds can be way out.
Hi to everyone else, Lucy, Mysty, KatanyaVanita- everyone else.
Hello all!!! We had a full on day out and about Brissy...took Mum & Matilda on the ferry into the city & walked & walked, Matilda passed out in the pram (gotta be a first!) and then woke up 30 minutes later grumpy as...but we got out because it was a beautiful day and .... she's leaving Sunday!!!!
We had a good time together which is great & saw an amazing snake wild in the botanic gardens...I loved it & Mum ran away lol....
Yay Christy for your Mum and for you too! Every one must be feeling good and what a lovely day out and about, lol at yur Mum running from the snake, I don't blame her, I'm not much of a snake lover either, out dog killed a snake one night in our byard and we found it dead a few days later, it was in summer too. Scary to think the snake was so close to the house.
Well Jemma decided to shave tonight, took the razor from our ensuite and nicked her lip, it bled for ages, like all shaving cuts do, and she will NEVER do it again, of that I am sure.
Anyway have visitors so must dash, parents, brother and niece here, Arron has roped Dad in to help him finish Jemma's new room, Yay I may get my office sooner rather than later. That will be terrific.
Hello to everyone, I am counting down 7 sleeps till jessica's bday.
See ya Michelle
