WOW Kathryn I was just going to do this and it appeared! LOL!!!
Thanks Christine...I guess I can be grateful its only in summer that she does this and not year round... too bad QLD doesn't have daylight savings...stupid cows
I am counting down the days to DLS atm. I am hoping Lachlan stays asleep cause it will still be dark. Kameron hasn't been too bad just lately he has been getting up after Lachlan around 7am which is okay with me. Just lachlan likes to be awake at 6am.
I can't wait actually this will be our first summer with our brand new pergola, so I am looking forward to lots of BBQ's and eating tea outside !! Also not having to worry about it being 40c on Christmas Day and having No Air Con LMAO. Cause we can just go outside under the pergola which will be covered in the top grade laserlite, so it will reflect 99% of UV rays and cuts down heat by up to 60% but still lets the light in. So excited !!
YAY For the pergola!!! Fantastic!! We've been hanging out on our veranda all week its great to have the shade & the breezes. I feel funny turning on the a/c still so I usually hold off until the arvo & the sun is hitting the verandah & only if its over 30 lol
Been missing you all, but every time I come here I get scared at the amount of posts I have missed, and cant quite summon up the energy to do personals... rofl... so thought I would just start fresh in a new thread
Kat - thats great news about the pergola!!!! (Wish I could come down for a BBQ!!)
Yesterday I went the to Qld BB meet, which was LOVELY! Its so cool to see all the kiddies grown up as toddlers now, and playing together (sort of, lol)
Aidyn was a bit scared of the lagoon at first, but then had fun splashing around... I thing we will go back there next week during the week as DP will be on leave.
I have a busy weekend coming up, am saying goodbye to my sister who is heading off to India for 3 months, have a baby shower to attend, and MIL is back from Hong Kong, so no doubt we will have to see her too......
Anyway, time to get some housework/laundry done... we are all out of clean towels... #-o
LMAO Ambah I know what you mean about the new posts. I was like that after I came back from holidays, but then I was just getting further and further behind.
Ah here we are! Oh Kathryn, thanks again for my new av! I knew you'd been away so wasn't in any hurry...
Oh to have an a/c! We don't and I'm dreading the worst of the summer heat. At least we live in an older home with really high ceilings and the children's rooms stay cool. We are also on a hill here in Melbourne which catches the breeze and our backyard is shady... oh and then I guess we save heaps of $$$ by not having one to run but *sigh* I could be pg over summer and that always makes you feel hot in itself. A pergola would be lovely you lucky girls!
DH was concerned about privacy issues so hence the removal of our names (especially given that they're uncommon ones)... also he was worried that a friend/relative might stumble across BB and see me posting about TTC! It didn't worry me but he's in an industry that freaks out about any possible privacy breach. Feel free to just type "Bath" BTW. It's from a song by The Pixies about a biblical woman called Bathsheba which is quite interesting too and also a Bathsheba is the main character from a great Thomas Hardy novel; Far From The Madding Crowd... just incase you're wondering.
Glad you like your Avatar Bath. Sorry I couldn't get specifics on it, gets a bit tricky for kids to be holding stuff.
I am hoping our pergola cools down the house in the summer a tad. one wall is just about all window sliding/door and of course that has to face the hottest summer sun so our place gets really hot, and takes forever to cool down. Thankfully the Pergola will be covering up those windows.
If you hadn't of said I wouldn't have even noticed that your names had been removed, but totally understand re the privacy issue thing. It is a big deal for a lot of people, and definitely a good way to remain anonymous to a degree.
Ambah: !!! You are the third woman I've met in the last year or so with an 18/7 b'day! And do you know what? They all have three children (I want a third) and are either nurses or have a strong interest in medicine. We are certainly all very nurturing souls O Oh and I just LOVE the garden your av is standing in! I'm about to go out into mine to smell the roses and chase my little boy who fancies himself as the next Houdini!
Not much going on with us at the moment. Last week i thought Kimberley had a urine infection but the tests came back ok. Just think she likes to say sore and belly hurt before she needs a poo. She is doing so well on the toilet now and we can go out without her having a nappy on so we are only using them at sleep time.
Kathryn - That is great news you are getting a pergola.
LOL Bath, I dont think I've ever met another woman with an 18/7 bday...until now! I have met a guy though. Not to mention we share Nelson Mandela's bday too, lol How funny is that about the nursing!! (which is exactly what I am hoping to study next year!)
LOL at the garden my av is standing in.... theres a trick to it... I actually used two pairs of flowery 'wings' to get the garden effect
I'd always wondered where you got that from Ambah lmao. I have to redo my avatar site soon as I have tooooo many images on it and takes forever to load. I will have to get Andrew to work some of his HTML magic. Speaking of webpages, need to do updates for our weather site too ](*,)
Michelle - great to hear Kimberley is doing well with the toilet training.
Aidyn must still be so tired out from his big day yesterday... he had a huge 3.5hr nap today!! \/
Speaking of webpages, I had started up a photosite page, but when DP reformatted our computer the other week, I lost all of my work, so have to start again....
yuck at having to redo your work Ambah. Thats great that Aidyn slept so well today!! Matilda did too
Bath, I love the Pixies, they are one of my fav bands & Dolittle is actually in the car atm...
Well.. I wound up cleaning the house today & then doing the banking, shopping & getting my hair cut & dyed!! YAY!! For 5 hours to myself to get work done in while Matilda was at day care. She slept for 3 of those hours of course :-s Well...I'm off to work tonight! I hope you all have a good night
