    So Over It...

    Hey all,
As the title of this thread says I am over it. I have 35 days to go and they seem to be the longest and most uncomfortable days of my life. Not only am I hot as hell this baby is still lying transversally (sp?) I am thinking about starting to take Evening Primrose Oil in the hopes that it speeds the whoe process up just a little. I have gone 10 days over with both of my previous pregnancy, the first ended in a 36 hour labour after induction and the second one came on naturally after I was told that if I didnt go in naturally by Friday that they would induce again (I had her on Wednesday after getting to the hospital and finding out I was 8 cm dialated and the labour lasting for 2 hours from the time I got to the hospital)

But back to my question my OB wants to talk about induction at 39 weeks... since both of my babies have been over 10 lbs. I'm not that keen on the idea. I would rather go naturally if I can but the wait is killing me lol. Is there anything else that I should be doing to help increase my chances of my labour starting earlier than expected??

    Thanks,
    Nicole

    Hi Nicole,
I hope bubbas comes soon for you!!!
have you been drinking the raspberry leaf tea?? I have heard that is a good one... I am going to be hooking in when I hit 36.5 weeks!
also I have heard reflexology of the feet is AWESOME!! there is a pressure point in the foot that apparently will make to uturus contract.... they advise strongly not to use it unless in labour unless you want to bring on labour.
So hope I may have been a tiny bit of help... Oh yeah with the tea you should try as many cups as possible in a day.

    GOOD LUCK!
    xoxo

    Hi,

I have no experience personally but my sis tried drinking raspberry leaf tea, eating licorice and (probably the last thing you feel like right now but apparently the prostaglandins in the semen can help bring on contractions).
