Deeanne - Matthew seems to be doing so well i can't believe how long he is.
How was your lamb ?
Michelle - Matthew sure is long, he seem to go on forever, I was shopping a few weeks back and passed a couple of older ladies one said to the other 'Wow that baby is long", people notice his length wherever we go.
The lamb was lovely, it was so tender that I actually cut some up in tiny, tiny bits and fed it to Matthew, he loved it.
Wow that Matthew liked the lamb.
When people see Alex all i get he's a big baby.
Yeah that too and everyone thinks they are so much older then they are
I better go and ttidy up a bit, have the Westpac Bank Manager coming around on Wednesday morning and I`m not going to have time to tidy up tomorrow as I have to take MIL to her knee specialist appointment.
I can`t vaccuum as it blew up last night![]()
Poor Alex wasn't happy this evening i think the pain from his needles kicked in. He cried for ages and would only fall asleep in his chair when i picked him up he cried in pain as i was touching his legs.
Hi All... Have been MIA for a little while...not feeling so good. I have sort of caught up on all the goss (I think), but have already forgotten what has been posted.
Ella crawled properly for the 1st time today. Of course I was out and Nanny got to see it.
With the whole baked beans thing, we get the Weight Watcher ones. They are cheaper than SPC and much tastier. Ella has also tried silverside. As long as it's mixed with vegies she will eat it.
Ella had her 1st hearing test after the gromets and her hearing is almost perfect!!! I am so happy that she can finally hear properly.
Angela
Thats great news angela! The wonders of modern medicine huh?
I hope Alex is better today Michelle.
Alex ended up sleeping for 13 hours last night he seems much better today.
Hope everyone has a nice day![]()
Angela - Wow on Ella crawling and passing her hearing test!!
Michelle - I hope Alex is feeling better today.
Poor Jacob has the worst nappy rash and it looks so sore. I have been letting him roll around without a nappy when he's up and the poor little thing bursts into tears when I put his nappy on for his nap. He had a big bath with daddy last night to try and help sooth it a bit and it did calm down but he woke up this morning with the biggest ickiest poop so it's back again.
Ok.... I am going to attempt to catch up. Sorry for being so rude and just raving on about myself with my last post!
Michelle - glad to hear that Alex is feeling better. Sounds like he really needed the sleep. The same thing happened to Gabby with her first needles. She just slept and slept and slept!
Dee - you are making me hungry thinking of that roast lamb! I luuurve roast lamb - esp. if it's really tender. Good to hear that Matthew enjoyed it too. It's fun when we can give the bubs a bit of grown up food now, hey?
Angela - yay for Ella's hearing! That's fantastic! Sorry to hear you haven't been well.
Nat - ouchies for Jacob's bum!! Sounds sooo sore. One of the babies at my MG is going through the same thing. Poor little sausages!
Trish - soooo great to hear from you matey. Hope your puter is fixed soon. Yay for getting into your new place ok. Can't wait to hear how miss Tehya is going. I am glad you got the SMS
Fi - ooooeeer @ feeling off-colour. Could be a sign! Remember, I swore AF was coming when I was actually preggo with Gab. Food for thought! The aquarium sounds like a brilliant idea! I remember going with a 1 year old once and she just loved it. Will have to take advantage of our entertainment book. Yay for you and Shane getting in even cheaper too!
Nell - yay for Matty's new teeth! Isn't it amazing how we can only speculate what the problem is and we don't reeeeallly know it's teeth until the blighters pop up! Hope he is doing better now that they have broken through the gums.
Tanya - yay for Violet clapping her hands! What a cutey!
Dinky - I hope Hayley is liking her cot a little better now. How's the bruise on her head going? Ouchies. Mmmm cream-O-Cow Udders. Sounds lovely, LOL.
LOL Bec. Isn't it funny how we have to jump up and down and praise the men for doing stuff that we do alllll the fricken time? "Well done for doing the dishes honey. And WOW! Didn't you do a great job folding those towels??" I wish I had a cheer-squad every time I cleaned the loo! heheheyes I have done this everyday for the past 8 months "do I brag"
Sarah - that book you bought for Zander sounds just gorgeous. I'll have to keep an eye out for it. Oooeeer @ you guys being back on the TTC wagon too! What's the bet you get pregnant straight away. Wouldn't that just be ironic! I keep saying to Neil that I bet we end up having an accident... took us fricken ages to have Gabby and the next one will just pop up when we least expect it!
The funeral was ok. We all bawled our eyes out. One friend came over from WA for it (she was coming on Wed anyway for her Mum's bday but changed flights to a few days earlier to be here for the funeral). Unfortunately, there were only a few of us from High School there. Bit sad really. Her sister got up and talked about her then showed a powerpoint presentation of photos and video of her. The ones of her with her baby boys just broke my heart. Also the one of her in her high school uniform cos that's how I best remember her. Her husband spoke a little too - that left me a blubbering mess. Then they played "She Will Be Loved" as the coffin was wheeled out. One of her little boys was sobbing his heart out - that cry that only a Mummy can comfort. It just broke my heart to hear it. Just sucked all round, really. No one should die at the age of 27![]()
Especially when they have kids, Deb... Very sad!
Nat, owwies @ the nappy rash!! Have you tried Aromababy's Barrier Balm? I swear by it! Emily never fully got nappy rash because of it and Violet is the same. Violet had a red bum a few months ago and it was really upsetting her, slap on some of the balm and it is gone the next day! Lasts ages too
Michelle, what a great effort for Alex last night... Gotta be happy with that
Yay for Ella!! Fantastic that her hearing is almost perfect!! Well done Ange
Dee... Bumma about your Vacuum!! More money to fork out! I hope the meeting goes well... even with a dirty floor... hmmm just relised how much it would suck without a vacuum and a baby rolling around on the floor!! Ewww!
All is well here... Wato has gone to a rally in Shepparton.... Damned Government!!
Tanya
Edited to add...
I got an email from Colleen, she said that she is going to South Africa for 7 weeks and would come on afterward to catch up![]()
Tanya - crawling around the floor on my hands and knees picking up those foam beans from the broken bean bag isn`t too much fun without a vaccuum cleaner and it`s only just over 2 years old and was a $1500 cleaner so we`re taking it back, thank goodness it`s still under warranty. I was just thinking about Colleen a couple of days ago
Deb - Oh dear I don`t think I should have read about your day yesterday, I have tears in my eyes, it`s so very very sad, those poor darling boys without their Mummy and Hubby without his beloved Wife![]()
Nat - Poor little Jacob I hope his botty clears up soon
Michelle - Woohoo for the great night
Angela - That`s great news that Ella can now hear properly and WooHoo for her crawling
Matthew and I had a lovely day out with MIL today, we took her to the Specialist then had lunch at a big shopping centre I very rarely go to, while there I went into Pumpkin Patch, I knew Mark should never have told me to go shopping LOL
Came through some wild weather on the way home, it was 35 degrees when we left at 11.30am get back 4 hours later and it`s 18, raining and windy, yuck!!!!!
Take Care
Deeanne
Dee... how's the weather today? Did the rain bring much relief?
How was the meeting?
Wow that sure was an expensive vacuum! I have never bought a vacuum... always been second hand ones that have been given to me when someone else upgrades
Geez it's qiet! I am sooo bored...
Tanya
Hi girls, we`re all quiet in here today.
Hope you and bubs are all well.
I`ve come down with conjunctivitis, I`ve never had it before, it`s so annoying, I have brought some drops from the Chemist so hopefully it will clear it up quickly I hope matthew or Mark don`t catch it from me, I believe it`s very contagious.
Dee - yuk at the conjunctivitis. Hope that Matthew or Mark don't get it. Yay for your vacuum still be under warranty! For the amount you paid, you'd want it to last a life-time! I would be spitting chips if my Dyson packed up on me any time soon!
Tanya - it has been rather quiet, hasn't it? How's Violet going? Any more new tricks?
Not much on for today. I have to go and do the groceries again. I feel like I live at the supermarket! I should do my groceries fortnightly! I've got to buy some more fruit to puree for miss Gab. I think I'll get some strawberries. I made up a big batch of carrot and zucchini last night and mixed it with some rice and chicken. She loved it! Still not as much as she loves her fruit tho.
Gabby did a couple of face plants and banged her head on the floor this morning. She tries so hard to get to places but just ends up hurting herself. She's getting better at going from a sitting up position to her tummy. I watched her this morning and I could hear the cogs turning her her brain as she was trying to figure out how on earth to get her leg out from underneath. Very funny!
How is everyone else going?
Hope you're having fun with Cailin in Melbourne, Sarah! Can't wait to meet Master Zander!
Hi Ladies.
I have been missing for a while, sorry have been trying to catch up on the threads but then run out of time to post gggrrr.
Not sure who said that there little one has eczema , my Jesse has a mild form as well - not as bad as your bubbies by the sounds of it - I use DERMAVEEN in the bath, apparantly used in the hospitals & I also use DERMAID cream after the bath - which seems to keep it under control.
We went away for a couple days last week for our 3yr anniversary, Jesse stayed in the portacot of the night & happy to say slept very well \/
was a good break from day to day stuff except the weather could have been better.
My breastmilk seemed to be slowing down - so have had to start expressing again to bring my supply back up, seems to have worked ...YAY ... i have also gone back to giving the breastfeed before the solids as i would say Jesse was getting too full to have the milk. Back on track now.![]()
We are all sick this week with a cold ... very germ ridden household atm .... poor Jesse was up half the night Sunday night - every two hours he was up crying, so mummy was up too .... boohoo was a bit of a zombie yesterday ... he slept well last night thank god \/
OH OH .... nearly forgot .... Jesse will be in the Sunday Herald Sun - Hello Baby section this week November 20 .... so anyone living in Melbourne will be able to see my little boy !! so exciting !!!!
hope you are all well ....
