Ok ladies not a big post from me

Megan - i hope your appointment goes well today and that i was of some use yesterday? GL

BW - thank you for the book recommendation - from quickly scanning through it, it is pretty much how we eat anyway, although we do eat a lot of red meat and i love cows milk!! looking in the back of the book some of the test she recommends are interesting and i wonder if any can be done here? i guess you would just have to find someone who could/ would. hope you are going well with it and that it will have a positive effect on your upcoming stim. and i hope your day gets better with all you have going on.

BG - GL today with the dentist. im hoping you get some relief.

Holly - how is the business going? i hope you are both not too tired for anything else? will you be home tomorrow morning?

Chez - how did you go with regards to finding out about the vitex? there has been alot of threads about it on bb as i was looking into it a few years back!!that sounds really sad!

Mel - how are you what's the go? i guess Dr s has given you his advice on what protocol to follow meds wise?

Od - having seen you for a while how is the ap going? how are you feeling? headaches stopped?

bb you seemed to have disappeared too?

Sonya - sorry i didn't welcome you back before, hope you have been well - i think i read that you are studying? can i ask what?

Smithy - not long now to the pill - not my fav part of the cycle so i hope it is kind to you GL

TL - how is work have you settled in and have you started sniffing yet?

    to everyone else hi

Im in tomorrow for my D&C and TBH i was uming and aring about whether to get it done and TBH i still am very scared!! but the last two days i have been having really bad stomach pains - like af but also like my ovaries are twisting and a sharp stabbing pain!! i will talk to fs about it all before he knocks me out! last nigh i was so doubled over and having been like that for a long time

PP, as scary as it is to go through it, I hope the D&C will give you relief from the pain and possibly even some answers.

PP, the appointment went well Thanks for the quick chat last night...gave me a chance to get things down and know what I wanted to ask him.
FS ordered some BT's for me today and I had 11 vials taken. I've had a splitting headache for a few hours which has just started to subside.
Next cycle will be 300iu (up from 225) and no pill!! I was doing the happy dance out the door after that one I can tell you!! I didn't have to fight for anything.... it was a productive appointment, and I feel so much better. I was dreading going in there as it's usually just in and out, and nothing much happens. So, for today... I'm back to liking my FS.

    Hi everyone

Just a quick update from me. I had my first visit with my new acupuncturist tonight and we had a chat about chasteberry/vitex. She uses it sometimes to assist during ovulation but none of her chinese herb books gave any information about assisting with keeping FSH levels down . Anyway, 2 hours, several needles and a good 45 mins relaxing plus two lots of herbs later, I am feeling pretty good. Next appointment is next week. In the meantime both myself and DF have herbs to take twice a day. I have had mine already - DF is at a work function - and they don't taste too bad. I have told him if he wants to get lucky tonight he has to take his 'man herbs' as my acupuncturist calls them

PP - thanks for asking after me. Things are looking on track now for us. Now I just want to get started! How did your uni go? I am having trouble balancing uni and working full time.

BW - my acupuncturist said something interesting about David's diet. Tropical fruits are known for their cooling properties in chinese medicine therefore she thinks that is the reason why they should be avoided, particularly in winter, and when our bodies are going through the luteal phase of our cycles we need lots of warmth apparently, including warm foods. She was also very approving with the rest of the eating plan. How are you going with it all? I hope the jabbing is going well and you haven't had too many more headaches.

BG - how are you doing?

Ellie - long time no hear. It's amazing how much I take our broadband connection for granted!

TL - hope the sniffing is going well. How much longer to go?

Megan - sounds like you are about to do a flare cycle? I found it so much easier than a full down reg - good luck!

Holly - hope the pizzeria is going well and your DH isn't too tired when he gets home from work

Slyder - where are you and DW at now? From memory you were going to do another FET soon? Hope all is well with you both.

To everyone else, hi. Hope all is well with you wherever you are in your AC journey.

    Hi BG

Sorry, I have been working so much lately I haven't kept up to date with journals so I didn't realise the significance of yesterday's date. Glad to hear that you are sounding so positive. I am here if you need to talk. I draw so much strength and inspiration from you ladies, maybe one day I can offer that same strength in return.

    Take care of yourself.

sometimes just the question of "how are you travelling" is more support than you can imagine cheryl. knowing that, for even an instant, someone has taken an interest, means a hell of a lot!

I think about my special BB friends just about every day... and I worry when I know they are going through a particularly hard time or have a special event coming up. You are my on-line friends who know so much more about what I am thinking and feeling and experiencing physically than my 'in flesh' friends could even begin to imagine! I am glad that I could be that person to support you today.

    Hi Everyone

I've been MIA for a few days... our computer died again...aaahhh!
Things always seem to work out though - went to visit my Nan & aunty yesterday, and was telling them about my computer issues - turns out my aunty's boss updated laptops and gave her the one she had - she told me to take it as she would never use it!!!

I offered to pay, but she wouldn't take any money as it didn't cost her anything.. so YAY!!! Hopefully an end to my computer issues...

Hoping everyone is doing well - will pop back in later and do some personals

As for me - AF is giving me absolute hell like she hasn't done for a really long time - my stomach is so swollen it hurts to zip my jeans up

Will pop back in later - Hoping everyone is great xxx

I'm a tired but happy little vegemite today.

It's been busy, and I've just got home after leaving at 9am this morning so I will shortly be running off to bed to curl up with a book. I don't do afternoon naps, but reading is usually enough to give my body time to rest and my brain a break from reality and it's almost as good.

Blood test at the clinic this morning, then acupuncture, then battling the rain and the traffic to get to Borders and catch up with Gargy...

The important details... Today's E2 levels were just over 1000 which the clinic is very happy with. I'm to drop from 200IU to 150IU for the next two nights and then go back on Sunday for my next blood test. I've actually responded appropriately! The relief that washed over me after that phone call was immense. I'm actually starting to believe we may even get to transfer this time.

Holly, I'm glad to see you online again, and I certainly hope that this is the last of your computer woes. Sorry AF is giving you hell. May it be the last for a very long time!

YAAAAAAAAAY!!! On your BT results BW!!!

    Fantastic news!!!
I am so happy to hear everything is going like it should be - I have everything crossed for transfer this time round

Just popped 2 nurofen as I have the headache from hell - (Far out I just HATE AF sometimes )... and DH has called and asked me to come down to the shop - they've just had a phonecall for a table of 6 and a table of 9 to eat in....
Great for business, but I'm really wishing he would have listened when I said "Please have some staff up your sleeve before the weekend".... his response was "We'll be right..."... hhhmmm, apparently we'll be right means "I need you to come down"....
Oh but I love him so....

Hopefully won't be home too late & will pop back in later

BW - that is just fantastic news about your bt results. I have everything crossed for you for tomorrow's bt result as well! Sounds like David might cracked the right protocol for you this time around! I really, really hope that you get to transfer this time around without even the slightest sign of OHSS!

Holly - great news with the reservations at the pizzeria. I hope everything went well last night and that being busy might have taken your mind off the dreadful AF probs you have been having. And well done on the free computer! Your auntie is obviously a lovely lady!

Well, I should be head down into my assignment already this morning but managed to sleep in way past my alarm so am about 2 hours behind schedule already! But I just had to pop in and see how my BB ladies were going.

Take care all and will try to pop back as soon as I can.

Just popping in to see how everyone is doing for the weekend

    I'm tired, tired, tired!
Ended up getting home just before midnight last night - DH has obviously realised that he perhaps should have listened to me earlier in the week in regards to staff... he has called around for tonight and it looks as though they will probably have too many now!
I can't complain, though - everything is going better than we'd hoped, and he is just deleriously happy in his kitchen, so that makes me happy too

Hope everyone is having a great weekend - am very interested in the diet you guys are talking about (BW & Chez) - will have to ask you guys more about it - Am feeling very blah at the moment, but that could be due to being all over the place over the last few weeks and a big lack of sleep, too.

BW - I know its designed to help with the cycle, but is it making you feel any better as well? Might be worth looking into for myself just while I'm getting sorted for the next cycle?

Hoping everyone is having a great Saturday

The puregon (or perhaps it's also a raised E2 thing) has hit full force today. Blergh!

Holly, I had to reread your post several times to figure out exactly what you were asking me. My eyes kept skimming over the paragraph that made it all make sense. Perhaps an afternoon nap is in order!

I've read a few things David has said about the cycle. One being that he's had some patients with no apparent reason behind cycles not working suddenly have a successful pregnancy result when following said diet. The other part of it is that another friend without PCOS is getting more eggs while following the diet. Not pregnant yet, but there's a few other problems to deal with there as well (age and Asherman's syndrome, sadly).

I certainly noticed it when I started the first time - more energy, feeling better, less digestive upsets, and just a generally greater ability to cope with life. Because I've been sort of following the guidelines ever since, and currently it's just tightening up on things and eliminating those times where I decide to spoil myself, the difference in how I feel isn't quite so great. The starting to feel good energy wise has coincided with an arthritis flare (we won't talk about my silly refusal to take any more than the bare minimum amount of prednisone during this part of my cycle) and the puregon-fatigue so I'm fairly flat right now. The book I got hold of recently, written by an English author, also states pretty much the same stuff (I think the book is more restrictive in some ways, less in others), so the benefits of said diet appear to be coming from two entirely different sources. PM me your email address and I'll send it along. I lost 1kg per week when I first went on it, even without following the exercise regime. Things are a little slower now - less to lose, and the prednisone causes weight gain.

I've also got to admit, that me being the contrary kind of person that I am, I'm half tempted to completely ditch the diet now and put to the test just how much my hyperstimulating depends on David getting the protocol right rather than me getting the diet right. But after the crap eggs and embryos of last cycle with bad diet, I'm not game!

I'm glad the restaurant is going well, Holly. I know what a difference it made for us at home when DH started the new job and was now doing something he absolutely loved.

Sorry my post didn't make any sense!

I think I need more than an afternoon nap, but its just not going to happen I don't think!

You got what I meant, though! Was basically just asking that although I know he's put you on it to help with your cycle, is it making you feel really good and energised too - because thats what I desperately need at the moment!!!
Sorry I was so vague.... am reeeeaaaaally tired!!!

Will PM you with my email!!!

Your post did make sense, Holly. It was my brain that wasn't making sense because it kept skipping over vital parts. Everything was fine when I managed to convince my brain to read all the words that were there.
