hey guys
my eldest is turning 13 next month and need an idea for a party
i still cant beleive shes a teenager i feel so old
have asked dd and she cant decide what to do and i thought some more ideas will give her more choices
any ideas
My dd for her 13th birthday just wanted to go shopping with her friends, go see a movie and then all come back here for a sleepover. They had a ball and she loved the independence that came with shopping on her own..without mum! Discos are great fun..with karaoke of course. My 12 yo dd just had a sleepover with a group of friends and we had a mix of games that the kids all loved. They decorated a pillowcase each with fabric paints to celebrate the occassion, played the mummy wrap, where in pairs they have to wrap each other in toilet paper the fastest, the m and m game where u go around in a circle needing the same colours to swallow, sleeping bag race etc etc followed by murder in the dark and a couple of movies snuggled up in the lounge. Oh and facials yes...they are fantastic. I bought one, though u can make them and linted the kids up...they all took their cucumbers for their eyes and we gooped it on their face then lined up together and we took pics of them..they thought it was great! Think they finally went to sleep at 5am!
Have fun deciding..parties are great fun. My other daughter for her 12th had a jelly fight which was a hit. We made up big buckets of jelly..had a designated spot in back yard, made up clothes from garbage bags and let them go for it.
I would say a movie/karaoke/singstar slumber party where they are left alone to have fun (no mum, dad, brother or sisters butting in all the time)
Supply them with loads of girly type things such as nail polish, facial masks, brushes, hair ties, make up (if you allow that) and let them go crazy doing make overs on each other. Perhaps let her have some control of the camera so she can get some photos.
My DD turned 13 last week. She had 5 girlfriends to go to a local pizza restaurant. She loved the "grownup" feel of going out to dinner without adults. The whole family came later on with a birthday cake and parents picked up and dropped off at the restaurant. They absolutely loved it and it was sooooo easy!!!
we were thinking about a disco party dd wants to think about something that no one has done though which is really hard.
i love the jelly idea dont think she would do it i think the makeover would be her thing have to mentioned it to her .
the dinner party is another thing i think she would like
thankou guys its gave me more of an idea what to do
I hear you SHAZZA ... my nephew turns 13 next month too (13th July) ... Oh, it makes me feel so old
... Sorry no ideas with a birthday party BUT I do remember my Mum letting me catch the train to the city with a friend at 13 and I felt so independent ... it was a wonderful feeling
Yeh, I reckon something along those lines of something a bit more grown up to do to celebrate the entering of her teen years. As it is a milestone after all
for my 13th birthday.. which was only 7 years ago..... i went to la porchetta for tea with my close girlfriends then we went to the movies ( all without an adult) and had a sleepover, it was great fun!!!!!
i suggest a theme like a fluro party!!! all that kinda stuff is in right now and i have been to a few fluro parties and they r pretty interesting i might say!!!!!
