    Colds that don't go away!!!

    Hi everyone...
I have a 13mth old DD. She seems to be going through a really bad time at the moment with colds and other things. She has had a cold for the past 3 weeks - maybe more! Then she came down with an ear infection (staight to GP and on antibiotics) and this nasty cough which seems to be hanging around for ever! Then this morning she soiled 4 nappies....oh no thought, what now??? She has been very unsettled. Having said all of this she did just begin (last week) attending childcare for 2 full days a week - so I am aware she will be going through a yucky time. What should I do??? Is this normal???

It is frustrating I know, I have been having the same battle this year, my DD and I have been hand balling colds to each other I work in long day care and DD attends full time so we are constantly exposed to things.
It will get easier your DD's immune system will strengthen up, DD and I got sick the year I returned to work, last year we only had minor colds but this year I think I've been more succeptible due to being PG and under stress and a little run down.
DD seems to get over things a lot quicker than I do and has been still eating and sleeping well despite a green nose and cough
talk to your GP if your not sure ( I don't know about where you're from but most of the gp's here blame childcare for it anyway)

I went through this same thing when my son was 2. He was constantly sick for around 7 months. Everytime He had antibiotics he was ok for the next week but then got sick again. I ended up taking him to a differnet doctor who sent me to an ENT.
The ENT said that he was sick all the time because of his ears....he was always getting ear infections. So he put tubes in his ears and he has hardly been sick since.

If your DD is getting ear infections tell your dr you want to see an ENT it might make all the difference
    Good luck!
