Sleep issues and learning to walk?

I've had a very unsettled baby the past week or so - half waking and crying almost every hour, very clingy and whingey during the day, getting stroppy and hitting out when she doesn't get her own way, etc. She may be teething but we didn't have these problems with her five other teeth.
I'm wondering if it may be related to her just beginning to stand up and take steps on her own, or maybe a wonder week type thing.
Did anyone else notice a change like this at the learning-to-walk stage? It sure would be nice to know it's not just a backslide in sleeping skills.

Hi, yes I did experience what you have described with my DD a couple of months ago so it was around the time that she started walking... however I put it down to teething!

She was very clingy and sooky, she wanted to be picked up, she wanted to be put down!!
    I couldn't win either way!!

I think that their molars give them a lot more grief than their front and eye teeth and because they can not communicate with you properly, they seem to just be out of sorts for awhile!

This is what I found with both my kids anyway, I'm not sure if this is the case for you but with both of them there were no other symptoms (red cheeks, drooling etc) so it was hard to tell but that sort of unhappiness always coincided with a new tooth!!

I hope that your DD is back to her normal self ASAP! Good luck!
