After having posted in here a gazillion times for advice and none of it working (sorry girls!), I thought it would be good to hear what does work (other than tea and sympathy for us).
So, what got your baby sleeping through, or at least sleeping enough so that Mummy was fully rested every day? DS now wakes up just the once half the time and not at all the other half. OK, there's the odd night he's up all night, but that's due to a storm or a huge change in his life, such as someone new coming to stay.
For us, it was homeopathy. I tried EVERYTHING else and praise God this one worked! The third week of his weekly tablets, he went to sleep and slept through... from the previous month of being up 3-4 times a night, usually for a good 2 hour stretch at least once.
We found the biggest thing for sleeping through, not counting the personality differences between our children, was routine. If they always ate supper, had a bath, sang their bedtime prayer, and got tucked in with a kiss they were much better!
