have i lost my mucous plug?

sorry guys u must be sick of my questions! ok i just went toilet and noticed a small amount finger nail amount twice, when i wiped my self but its frightned me, it was strings mucous like what comes out your nose but it was yellow!? is this normal and is it bits of my plug? if so is it ok to start losing it now? many thanks xx (im 35 weeks)

Sounds like your plug to me hun. That means that your cervix is preparing itself. thinning itself out and dilating a little. Which you already know your cervix is doing.

This can happen a day before labour starts or 2 weeks before labour starts. Add this to your other concerns and I think that your bub will be making its appearance sooner rather than later.

Like Trish says, it certainly sounds like it. The funny thing about your mucous plug is that it seems to vary in its appearance depending on woman, climate, season and even different pregnancies, but it sounds like it to me.

Lou - i lost mine for 2 weeks - it was blood stained mucous before dd was born
Means things might happen in the near future!

But in saying that i was told that you can loose it at any stage as it will replenish??
