Post How can i get my 12mth old to STOP pooing in the BATH

Ok for the last week or more my 12mth old DS has been pooing in the bath.. He has never done this before and have no idea why he has started.. He is having his bath the same time he has always had it

We have tried to get him to sit on the potty before his bath he thinks its great but he can sit on it for up to 30 mins and not do anything but as soon as he gets in the bath i get to wash his hair and 5 mins later he's doing a poo.. I have also tried giving him a bath later then he normally does but this does nothing also...

He has always done a poo just before bed but never in the bath

So has anyone else had this same problem? If so how did you put a stop to it?

    Any advice would be great

Thanks Ladys and gents ( I know your out there )

Oh I have no idea on that one!
The bath does sometimes get my older boys moving but they are much, much older and they get out and do the business.

You could try showers with him if it creating too much mess for you to cope with.

try putting a swimmer nappy on him.. he will then poo into that and i think a few times after he has realised its not nice at all to sit in the bath in his poo it should stop. This is all i can think of.... HTH

all that warm water no wonder, it relaxes his bowels!! i wouldnt worry its will probably soon stop!!
DD has done it many times and still does occasionally, i wouldnt make a fuss as your more likely to make him think that poo'ing in general is bad
