    Hey there,
Isabells pupils seem to be dilated different sizes sometimes, and im wondering if any one else has noticed this with their bubs, if its something to be concerned about etc.
Any insight will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

I'm no parent (yet) but are they both doing the same thing or different? If both eyes are doing it together then i'd say that's very normal, bubs is just adjusting to different strengths of lights as their eyes are developing.... but of course i'm no doctor best to get her checked if it doesnt feel right to you
geez i hope that just made sense what i wrote ....

If we were to look at her eyes, sometimes one pupil will be bigger than the other..but have only really nnoticed and paid attention to it a few times..

Do you mean each eye is a different size at the same time? I'd be concerned about that so get it checked out!

Meg - I'd definitely get a paed to have a look at her, and then maybe get a referral to a paediatric opthamologist. it will hopefully turn out to be nothing, but if it is something, the early it gets diagnosed the quicker you can get it fixed.

yep i would definately get it checked. You have to make sure that when youa re looking that there is even light lol.. her head isnt turned slightly towards a window on one side etc etc.

but it is not good to have pupils dilated differently.

Meg, you need to check her pupils in different lights.

Sometimes if you are in a room and there is a strong light to the right, the right pupil may seem different. It is not uncommon for pupils to seem slightly different.
Although consensual response (where you shine a light in one eye and both should constrict) does tend to happen, at times you can observe pupils of different sizes.

The best way to check is to dim the lights down low and check both eyes at the same time (so you may have to hold her eyes open) using a torch or something similar.

It would be more of a concern if one of the pupils is not reacting to the light at all or consensual response is not observed (does that makes sense to you). OR if there is a large difference.

    A few quesions for you
    Is the difference always there?
    How big is the difference?
Does it change if you go into another room?
Is it always the same pupil that is larger or does it change?

However if you are concerned i would get her checked out, just for your peace of mind
