Hi Everyone,
I'm just wondering if anyone else has any similar situations happen to them during their pregnancy.
At 12 weeks I was hospitalised at The Royal Melbourne Hospital with suspected appendicitis. After the doctors spending hours asking ME if the baby was ecotopic, growing outside my uterus etc (I was a mess by this stage) the surgeon came to see me, perched on the edge of my bed and informed me that they don't care about my "foetus" and that they are there to treat me and not the baby. He then proceeded to inform me that they were arranging a CT Scan to see my appendix.....
I specifically said I didn't want to have a CT due to radiation - at which point I was pretty much told "tough luck".
After many tears and the radiologist arguing with the surgeon I was given an ultrasound instead. By this point after being in hospital for 10 hours the pain just disappeared.
The doctor then told me they wanted to do exploratory surgery and most likely remove me appendix anyway.....
I managed to escape without any slicing and dicing but was really disheartened by my experience there and was wondering if I just had a one off or if anyone else has experience something similar.

Thanks
