Question i've had a look at Symptoms in the 2nd tri...& nothing was said..plus some questions

this may sound strange to some people, hell it sounds strange to me as a type it!

today at work. (i worked the crazy shift 4am-10:30am...in the deli at safeways/woolies) and at about 9:30-10ish i felt this...streching feeling around my lower abdomen...like around where blip is. now im just assumeing that its normal movement and streching of mucles, and this is my first bub so i have NO IDEA if its normal or if i felt it more becuase i'd been on my feet 6 hours and 15mins or what, it didnt hurt at all. it more felt like a strech when you strech out say your legs before going for a jog. now i know around now i "pop" and i get my muchly long awaited "bump" but as any one else felt it riseing out like i have? or think i have? or should i be calling my doc and seeing what he says, becuase NONE of my books mention it...and my google-fru isnt the best (maybe due to me being up for almost 12 hours strait...)

and at 17 weeks is it normal to like go to bend down and tie up your shoes and find "wait a second...I HAVE A LITTLE BUMP IN THE WAY?!?!" as i have been then telling the ladies i work with ALL about it.

    Ohh and last question two questions;
    1) i *think* i felt movement. it was like i was being tickled from the inside...that was about 3 days ago and i havent felt it since...and if this is TMI but i DIDNT fart afterwoulds....
2)....i just drew a blank...i cant rember...blips eaten my brain again!

    Sounds pretty normal to me.
Sounds like you may've felt the first movements too!
It is only usually every few days at first. Gradually getting stronger & more frequent. Eventually you'll even be able to feel them rolling over. & punching & kicking you in the ribs/bladder!!
Soon you will be wondering if its even possible for your belly to stretch anymore. But it will!

    I miss that feeling...

Me to I felt that stretching as well. I did research and knew what it was and I still feel it especially if I get up from sitting down. I only just started feeling the movements last week but now I feel it a couple of times a day and it makes me giggle. I feel the same as you as if I am being tickled from the inside. I love it, its so reassuring. I hope it never stops. I like to know my little man is happy and having fun in there.
Still getting my head around saying its a boy as I only found out yesterday!

Oh by the way I have been wearing a belly strap thingo. I got it from the bras section of DJ's. Its made of elastic and looks like a big boon tube. It helps support the bump and I find it very good when it comes to the stretching. Although I just realised I am not wearing it today. (where is my brain gone?)

Sounds like movement to me too.

You should expect movement from about now.

I experienced movement at about 13-14 weeks with Ela. It felt like something slid inside me right where i was carrying her.

Enjoy the movements! They are wonderful and to know that bubs is in there and all is well.
I would love to fall pregnant again just to experience all the movements.

    Goodluck!

There will come a point when you cant reach down to tie up your shoes.... My DH laughed at me trying to tie up runners one day when I was about 8 months pg, and he refused to help, cause he thought it was funnier to watch me try....

i think i felt it again today. but this time it was like bubbles popping!
i've worked out that for me the streching feeling starts when i've been on my feet for 5hrs+ and moveing/lifting things makes it harder (as well as running up and down the dept!)

im glad to hear that i am experanceing is "normal" and that i dont have a mutant tadpol in there with blip. *breathes sigh of releaf* thank-you for all your help :hugs:
