    Question about a second VBAC??

    hi everyone,

    just a question??

I had DS by E/CS in 2002, then was lucky enough to have DD by VBAC (with the help of a epidural ) in 2006, and now want to have next baby VBAC too, what i was wondering is:

Is the risk still the same??
Do you still have to be monitored the same way??
Is the second VBAC easier than the first??

    thanks

I'm not entirely sure, but I think it is easier because you've already proven that you can vaginally birth a baby, and your scar has hasn't ruptured or anything, so I would assume that the level of monitoring wouldn't be as bad as it would for a first VBAC.

The risk of rupture is still the same...but because it is still the same (and not "less") you'll still have to deal with all the same policies in terms of monitoring, going postdates etc.

But I think you have an advantage because you'll probably have more confidence in yourself this time around - so less likely to be susceptible to manipulation and guilt tripping, so in that sense I'd think it would be a bit easier.

    Good luck!
