16 month old dribbling alot, is this OK?

Someone commented on the fact that my 16 month old DS dribbles alot and whether it was 'normal'. Yesterday he soaked about 6-7 bibs. I am worried that he will never learn how to swallow or it could be a developmental issue. Aside from this, he is a sweet, happy and bright boy (well I think!!). Am i worrying unnecessarily? Did your little one dribble and when did it stop? Thanks

DS is now 19 months and STILL dribbles alot.
He dribbled heaps a few months ago when he was getting his eye teeth through, and now his molars are starting to move.
Could it be a teething thing?

I agree with Gudism. DS1 dribbles like a tap when he is teething and I usually end up changing him into about 3 t-shirts plus using a couple of spit rags a day.

    Seems normal to me!

My DS dribbles like mad...he generally does it worse when teeth are coming through though. He seems to be up with all the other kids the same age so it's not worrying me at all...except that I have to wipe his chin so many times a day...hehe... Sorry I can't be more help but in our case it is 'normal'.

It does seem worse when he is teething. He is getting 3 of his molars at once at the moment, you can imagine his mood! It has been like a tap lately but the teeth take sooooo long to come through!! The joys of teething. I just worry when someone comments like that. I shrug it off at first but then it keeps popping up in my head. Sad huh!
