    Leaking through BBH

I was using BBH bamboo at night with a wool cover, but DS started to leak through. I tried using both snap in boosters, as well as a booster on the outside, then the wool cover (yes, his bum was enormous!!). I tried lanolinising the covers again, but that didn't seem to help either.

Eventually I got sick of washing his sheets every morning & started to use sposies overnight.

Now I wonder if I was doing something wrong and could give the cloth a go overnight again. Any suggestions?

I personally think that once you get to 8 month in age its usually the BBH not something you are doing. Are you able to get yourself a dedicated night nappy?
I just found the rise on the BBh's too low to handle over nights. Seems to be a common problem.

My DD still wears BBB + trifold booster at night (in rotation with night nappies) and i have managed to stop the leaks

I found that i needed to make sure the wool cover (in large).. was up and against the skin of her Belly - so that NO nappy could be seen at all. She is a tummy sleep and this is causing the leaks when her clothes could come in contact with the nappy as the cover was not high enough.

I also put the bamboo trifold inside the nappy under the 2 snap in boosters and have the long booster folded in 3's at the front (again as she is a tummy sleeper).

If you find the BBH wool cover does not come up high enough to completely cover the nappy. i would suggest going for a pair of woolen longies or shorties and her BBH dont seem to leak overnight with these.

PP - I was using a large cover, so it did cover the nappy - but just leaked through everywhere (the cover felt wet, as did his clothes - just seaped through)

FJ - Can you suggest a better night nappy?

The cover will sort of feel wet anyhow as it precipitates. Was it well lanolised? Did any of his clothes accidently get tucked into the cover? It will quickly wick at first touch with anything else absorbant

Otherwise sounds like a boosting problem then! ANd perhaps a night nappy is what you need!

The only other option is : do you give a bottle b4 bed. Perhaps try to give it an hour before bed and then allow time for a wee before the night sleep so he isnt wetting as much??

I love my Wildchild dreamy night nappies & also my iish fly nappy. I also have a bamboo sandman which is good but I don't like the rise much.

    Where in sydney are you?
