    Your 11-12mth old

Does your 11mth/12mth old prefer to be out of the trolley/pram? Mine does. Doesn't like to be restrained. I would really like to try him in a pouch type thing that I borrowed from my sister and carry him, but I'm pretty sure he'd hate it.

At the shops, he gets edgy and wants out of his pram. It's difficult to steer at the best of times, so its worse when I have to carry him and push.

The trolley he can climb out of the seat, and the trolleys say not to let them stand in the "basket". Sometimes, he prefers this.

Mainly what I want to know is, why does he want to PUSH the trolley/ pram?? It drives me crazy when he wants out and whinges, but I know when he's out he'll want to push and that makes him happy - so I let him. I do get the worst looks from some ppl, like I'm making my baby do manual labour... Some ppl just give me incredulous looks and comments like "I've never seen that!"

Does anyone else's baby / toddler do this?

My DD is 17 months and she LOVES to push anything and everything. Pram trolley chairs anything she can manage to move. At the moment she thinks standing and walking is the best party trick ever. I think it is just part of growing up. Some people will always make comments. I figure if DD is happy and I am happy then the rest does not matter. All these wonderful experinces for DD last for such a short period that so long as DD is not going to come to any harm why shouldn't she have a little fun! Whatever makes her happy!
