Everything went so well baby wouldnot stop waving around arms and legs did not get to hear heart but saw it racing away,it was so cool to see him do the dye thing with his heart it was only about 2 mins into the scan and we saw quite clearly that he is a boy he not shy at all
I feel so much better now that i know that everything is ok and it a nice healthy BOY

Congrats!!! A gorgeous baby boy! Now you can go shopping for blue!

Why do they do the dye thing? What was that about? My scan is next week!

over here they do it to make sure that heart working properly and looks cool as red dye blood in blue blood out it looks so cool to see way it all works

I think you mean they change "screens" on the ultrasound machine so that you are able to see the blood flow in different colours, red and blue in and out of the heart.
They don't put dye into you or anything.

I am pretty sure they did it when I had mine done, gosh lol, wasn't that long ago and do you think I can remember.....

Congrats to trees for your little blue bundle!!! How exciting that you got to see him and he was being nice and active for you.

Ooh this is interesting about the colour thing. I'm going for an u/s next week to check for cardiac problems, I wonder if they will do that for me???

Oh honey thats great a little man! Yeah!!!!
The coloured sections on the screen that you saw are simply showing you the blood pumping in and out of the heart they did that with me too and your right it is pretty cool. They did it with bumps umbilical cord as well.
Lots of little princes in this group now! I didn't get to see bumps bits was just told that bump was a boy. So I have booked into get a 4D scan at 28 weeks to get a better look at my little man.
