Hi
Was wondering if anybody had any advice or tips? My DD has started to bite everything, clothes that we're wearing, bed sheets and blankets, her bibs anything that's textile that she can get her little hands on.
She has also started biting me on the shoulder or again, wherever she can reach. It hurts... . I figure its her teeth but how can I stop her biting now. I usually say no in a stern voice when she bites us but let her go when shes chewing clothes etc.
She also has horrible tantrums when she doesn't get her own way, kicks her legs around and makes this weird cry thing that sounds like she rousing on me.
Help...!?
I'm no help with the biting, but when Gaby has tantrums, I make sure there is nothing she can hurt herself on & 'ignore' her. I still keep an eye on her, but don't react to her tantrum - and since I've started doing this Gaby has only thrown a couple of tantrums, compared with the numerous ones when I reacted
Is the biting from teething? maybe offer her something she is able to bite, like a cold washer or teether? My nephew is the same age and doing the exact same thing. I hope it gets better soon. HTH
Dont react is all I can suggest. Ive known a little girl to throw tantties at me and if walking away doenst stop..I just start laughing and within 1 min she's laughing with me.
If all else fails you can always throw yourself down on the ground next to her and have a tantty of your own
