    Hi All,

Has anyone had any experience with Monash IVF at Allamanda? Good or bad?

    I would appreciate any feedback.

    Thanks Bel

Hey Bel, sorry, I can't help, I am at John Flynn at Tugun, though have been thinking about Monash as have heard some good things, mostly in their support of natural therapies in conjunction with IVF.

Though I have decided I will give it one more try with Dr Dutt, I have a stim cycle planned for Oct, after that, we have decided to take a year off trying and revist later on, we are feeling a bit jaded and over TTC taking over our entire lives.

I must post to tell you all that has happened since our last Aug TWW and will do so soon, but have been avoiding BB a bit in the hope it will help stop the obsessing. Hope all is good in your world. xx

    Hi Bel

I have heard good things from a friend who recently started going there. Apparently the doctors are great - very patient, give you all the time you need and don't rush you out the door. I have just switched from Fertility gold coast to Monash IVF at Sunnybank. New professor there is supposed to be the bees knees so here's hoping

Thanks for the replies ladies. It's so hard to know where to go to get the best treatment. I think having a good relationship with your FS really helps you mentally with TTC. I have a lot of faith in my FS thank goodness.

Mollygirl- I see from your sig you have done 7 IVF cycles. Were they all with Fertility Gold Coast? Thanks for the positive feedback on Monash GC. Would love you to keep in touch and let me know how you go at your new clinic. From what I know, all Monash clinics use the same sort of techniques, just the FS's themselves use different protocols. I hope this change is just what you need.

    Hugs Bel

    Hi Bel

Yeah I am looking forward to starting a fresh at a new clinic. Change of scenery could be just what I need.
Over the last 3 years I have has 2 stim cycles and 5 frozen cycles all at Fertility Gold Coast - all resulting in a BFN. My FS then discovered I had blocked tubes so I had them both removed in Feb and have been taking a break since then. I have just had my first appointment with my new FS who has researched my history and wants to test for endometritis which is an infection of the endometrium. I'm kind of glad that there is still something else for them to check. Gives me a new hope that we may still fall pregnant. I was starting to wonder if there was any point after 7 unsuccessful attempts. I would love to hear from someone who has done this many unsuccessful attempts and then gone of to fall pregnant.
Where did you go before Monash IVF?

    Hi MollyGirl,

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. I've been away for work.

I too went to Pindara. Was very happy with all the staff and support I received there and had been going for a while too.

We left only because our FS who we have a lot of faith in, moved to another clinic.

We had been seeing another FS for a while but when we changed to our new FS we knew he would be the 1 to get us our much longed for family.

He too did a laproscopy on me before I did any cycles with him. I was shocked that he found endometriosis. He removed it all and next week I am starting my first stim cycle since I've been "cleaned up and cleaned out"!!!!

I am excited about starting again. Seems crazy typing that, but I just think now we may get results.

All the very best for your next cycle.

    Keep in touch

    Hugs Bel

    Hi Bel

Hope everything is going well. I have had a few more tests done with my new FS since i wrote last. Unfortunately he did not find anything new to treat to it looks like we will be starting a new stim cycle soon - I am just waiting for day 1 of my cycle.

Its funny because just when you think things can't get any worse we have just found out that for the first time we will have to do ICSI as my DH latest results came back not so good. I don't really know if this is a big deal or not - my FS said that 60% of his IVF patients use ICSI so maybe its nothing to lose sleep over.

Anyway would love to stay in contact with you - where are you up to on your journey???

    hi there again
We have an apointment today with GP to get my partner's swimmers checked then a referral to allamanda IVF to go the next step. Its very early days for us so doctors are a little reluctant to refer us although the IVF clinic is very supportive. will let you know how today goes.
