Question Chin to chest in sling...?

Ok, yes, another question from me. This sling bizzo is tricky!

I read in another post that bub shouldn't be chin to chest in the sling, but I just can't seem to work out how to stop that happening... She likes to lie in a recline/semi-recline position, her head is pushed down so her chin touches her chest. Not alot, and she seems pretty comfy actually, but i worry about her not being able to breathe.

Aside from having her sitting up and me supporting her neck and head while she sleeps (which is really just defeating the purpose of having the sling as i might as well be carrying her around) I'm not sure what i can do...? What am I doing wrong?

Oh I had never heard that. eeek. I can't remember how DS went in his sling but it wouldn't surprise me if he was chin to chest.

I will keep an eye on this thread.

    Can you tighten it up?

I think if its fairly tight, she should stay in semi sitting position, with head in line, not falling forward?

But another sling I've looked at says to loosen it, and lay baby down more, to keep the head off the chest....

Gosh, I was a great help!! Sorry hon, more experienced ladies will come along...

Try rolling up a wrap or small blanket and tucking it behind her head/neck to support it Leash. It should help keep her neck straight and a little rigidity will prevent it either lolling forward or back.
